You can obtain Star Fragments the next day after you wish on a Shooting Star. There are 3 types: Star Fragments, Large Star Fragments, and Zodiac Fragments.

What Can You Do With Trash? | Trash (Garbage) DIY Recipes
Materials are the various items throughout the island, which are used to craft various tools and furniture. Crafting is a vital part of New Horizons, so you are going to need a lot of these to make the most of your time.
The most commonly-used Materials, such as Wood and Stone, can be found around your island. Materials can be obtained from hitting rocks and trees, or even from picking them up on the ground like Clumps of Weed and Shells.
