Celebrate the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) for the Nintendo Switch! Read on for our speculation about what will happen in future anniversary events as well as a record of what happened with previous anniversaries!

Version 1.9's release was released around the same time as the first anniversary, and the update brought with it the First Anniversary Cake. Several items have also been made available with the update, so refer to our guide below for a full list of items!
March 18 Update | Version 1.9.0 Update
The 2nd Anniversary Event fell on March 20, 2022. There was no update released for this anniversary, but we hope that we'll be saying something different by the time the 3rd anniversary rolls around!
While Version 2.0 was announced to be the last major free update of the game, and no updates were released for the 2nd Anniversary, we hope that future updates will bring us something to celebrate!
Although most speculated anniversary-tied characters appeared in Version 2.0, such as Katrina and Brewster, we're still missing some familiar faces that we hope to see someday soon!
Happy Home Paradise introduced us to Wardell, a silent but lovable friend who might have been already mentioned in prior games. Does Wardell's presence hint at the fact that we might be seeing Wendell in the future? We can only hope!
Dagby was a past character that appeared in previous games. As Isabelle's brother and the person in charge of the Happy Home Showcase in New Leaf, his presence in the game would definitely be much welcomed!
Although we already had the opportunity to meet Rover, his dialogue seems to imply that the May Day Event isn't the last that we'll see of him! Who knows what the future holds? We don't, but we're hoping it contains more Rover!
