List of Contents
After getting stung by a Wasp, you'll end up with a puffed-up eye. There's no real punishment for this, and you can progress through the game as normal, but other characters will often comment that you don't look your best, and it will appear in every picture you take of your character.
If you're looking forward to taking some photos with the Camera app and showing them to your friends, be sure to get that sting checked out first!
The Bee Sting can only be cured with Medicine. Fortunately, it's not too hard to get your hands on it, and you can choose to either craft or buy the Medicine depending on what is more convenient for you.
You'll need a Wasp Nest to craft the Medicine, so be sure to go back and grab the Wasp Nest that fell from the tree in advance.
When you talk to the other Villagers after getting a bee sting, one of them will give you the DIY Recipe for Medicine. Use the Recipe item they give you to Learn how to craft Medicine.
To craft the Medicine, you'll need a Wasp Nest and a Clump of Weeds. This means you'll probably be going back to the scene of the crime to pick up the West Nest where it fell. Don't worry – it's safe now!
As soon as you craft the Medicine, your eye will heal up right away, and you'll be back on your way! Try to be more careful next time!
If you're not already talking to your villagers everyday, you may to start for a quick and easy way to patch up your bee stings.
Once you reach a high enough friendship level with a villager, there's a chance they'll give you some medicine instead remarking on the state of your face. You won't always get medicine from the same villager so be sure to be friendly with everyone to better your chances.
If you don't happen to have the Materials on hand, or you accidentally sold the remaining Wasp Nest after getting stung, you can always buy the Medicine directly. It's available for only 400 Bells from Timmy at Resident Services (before Nook's Cranny is constructed) or from the cabinet in Nook's Cranny, after it is constructed.
You never know when a Wasp Nest will fall from a tree, so it's good to always be prepared! Keeping a stash in Storage in your house can ensure you'll always be ready for an attack.
Although wasps move faster than you, you can escape wasps by running to a nearby building. If you enter successfully, they will stop chasing you and disappear.
It can be best to unequip any tools you are holding when attempting to run into a building, as you will need to press the A button to enter, and pressing A may cause you to accidentally use the tool instead, which will only end in you being stung.
