Bridges

ACNH - A resident stands in front of three different bridge types

All bridges are 4 spaces wide and only varies through the length of the water. You can build bridges over water that is 3-5 spaces wide.

Inclines

ACNH - Size dimensions of a Slope

Inclines need 2x1 spaces on the cliff, and 2x3 spaces on the land below for a total of 2x4 spaces.

Things to Note

  • Buildings need to be at least 1 space apart for them to be built next to each other.
  • Buildings have one extra space in the front where you cannot dig with a shovel.
  • The Resident Services Building and Plaza cannot be relocated. Think carefully when choosing at the start of the game!
  • Rivers need to be at least 3 spaces wide to be able to spawn fish. Keep this in mind when building bridges for fishing spots!
  • Trees need to be at least 1 space away from buildings in order to be planted.
  • To make a fishing pond, the body of water must be at least 3 x 3 spaces.
