Player Home

Player homes are slightly large than Villager homes. They are 5 x 4 and costs 30,000 Bells to relocate.

Nook's Cranny is a wide building. It is 7 x 4 and costs 50,000 Bells to relocate.

Plot Sizes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Bridges

All bridges are 4 spaces wide and only varies through the length of the water. You can build bridges over water that is 3-5 spaces wide.

Inclines

Inclines need 2x1 spaces on the cliff, and 2x3 spaces on the land below for a total of 2x4 spaces.

Things to Note while Designing!

  • Buildings need to be at least 1 space apart for them to be built next to each other.
  • Buildings have one extra space in the front where you cannot dig it with a shovel.
  • You cannot remove nor relocate the Resident Services Building and Plaza. So think carefully when you choose at the start of the game!
  • Rivers need to be at least 3 spaces wide to be able to spawn fish. Keep this in mind when building bridges for fishing spots!
  • Trees need to be at least 1 space away from buildings in order to be planted.
  • If you want to make a fishing pond, the body of water must be at least 3 x 3 spaces.
