Lilly, I think it's certain types of characters that give you art. My smug villager gave me a statue but no great gifts from any of the others yet.
It's the iron. I read to give them gifts made with iron because they are 'worth' more. I gave them iron wall lamps...worked like a charm!
maybe I need to increase the amount of fruit I give them?

I've got almost all of their pictures. When I started out someone told me to give them wrapped non native fruits. If I give them wrapped fruit, they usually give me clothes back, unless it's native fruit, then nothing.

anybody notice in the Nintendo trailer the graveyard? if u look in the bottom left of the frame it looks like there is something in the ground trying to climb out! yikes!
Lilly- I read somewhere that u should give ur villagers items that cost 2500 bells or more and they will start giving u better gifts such as their photos and more expensive items. And they said a crest doorplate was a good starting gift for them. Idk how well it works but worth a try I guess

Lilly: once your villagers are at the highest friendship level they will give you their photo and better gifts :)

I gave my villager wrapped assessed fossils and the occasional wrapped iron wall lamp. I have all their photos except my 2 newest villagers so it worked for me.
Elias, could I get the leaf campfire if still available?
