Not really, Sims is more about taking care of needs while inreasing your skills and income. In Animal Crossing, there's absolutely no rush :) And no one needs to go to the loo xD You just chill and build your own little town, make friends with the citizens (animals), and then collect all things in sight - no skills or anything

Well the past games were about paying your house loan (yes seriously lol) but there's no "main goal" per se. It's all about collecting bugs, fishing, and just having a good time ^_^
