This is a guide to collecting Green Pumpkins, a DIY material in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH). To learn how to get Green Pumpkins and where they can be used, please read on.

Pumpkin Starts can be bought from both Nook's Cranny for 280 Bells or Leif for 140 Bells. Leif will sell them all year round while Timmy and Tommy only stock them during October.

You can plant Pumpkin Starts by directly planting them from your inventory or by digging a hole and then planting them with a shovel. It takes four days for a pumpkin to reach its fully-grown stage.

You get more Pumpkins if you make sure to water them. You only need to water them twice while growing them to get the maximum of three, but it might be easier to water the first batch every day to make sure!

Once four days have passed, you can check to see if the pumpkins have grown into the color you want. If it is not a Green Pumpkin, you need to buy Pumpkin Starts and plant them again.
You can use the harvested pumpkins to grow more of the same color. Use a shovel to dig a hole, then plant one of your Green Pumpkins to grow more.

Harvesting your Pumpkins resets them to the 2 day stage, giving you exactly two days (the day you harvest and the day after) to water them again. Water all your Green Pumpkins twice and you will get 3 pumpkins per Green Pumpkin plant.

Green Pumpkins can be grown and harvested all year round, so make sure you have your watering can and shovel ready for some pumpkin farming!
You can use Green Pumpkins to customize Spooky Furniture. Note that all Spooky Furniture items do not make use of customization kits and instead use pumpkins.

From the update video, we could see that pumpkins can be placed as decorations as they are, so you can use them to liven up your cottagecore islands even outside of the Halloween season!
Eating pumpkins, much like you can with fruits, turnips, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots, can get you up to 10 points of stamina that allows you to things you cannot normally do in the game.
