The updated event adds a new face paint design when getting tricked by Villagers! However, you won't be able to save it to your Custom Designs.

You'll have to replay the event to get it back once you take it off.

1. Check Mail for a Letter from Jack

On October 1st, you'll receive a letter in the mail announcing his arrival on the 31st! Open up the present attached to get Jack's Portrait!

2. Look for Message Bottles

For the whole month of October, Spooky DIY Recipes can appear inside of Message Bottles!

3. Pop Balloons for Presents

In October, presents from Balloons might also carry Spooky DIY Recipes. Make sure to carry your Slingshot around the island!

4. Learn from Villagers

Villagers crafting on DIY Workbenches might also craft Spooky items in October! Why not check if your neighbors have DIY Recipes to spare?

Buy at Nook's Cranny (Optional)

If you've got no luck with DIY Recipes, don't worry! You can purchase most of the Spooky Series items from Nook's Cranny!

You'll find a new item everyday at the lower lef section of the shop!

On Halloween night, talk to Jack and he'll give you the Haunt Reaction! Give him some Candy or a Lollipop, and he'll gladly give you a new item each time!

2. Play Trick or Treat

Playing Trick or Treat with your Villagers is a fun way to pick up any DIY Recipes or furniture you've missed!

Give them some Candy or a Lollipop, and they'll give you a treat! If you don't... they'll play a nasty trick on you!
