But I don’t want to open another can of worms about the void lol so I’ll go my own way now. Hope the others on this board looking for fruit can get what they need from those who have it. Sorry that my comment took things off track and unintentionally may have buried others’ requests. If you’re here to help others with fruit please do scroll down to see some requests that may not have been fulfilled.
Yeah I never knew until it happened to me and I dug into it. For all my islands I didn’t care but for this one I’m doing as much offline as possible. Unfortunately, obtaining all the fruit cannot be done offline. A lot of people also don’t know that if a villager is in your void you CANNOT find them on mystery islands. Some YT have mentioned this. You could spend 100s of NMTs to find a villager but if they’re in your void and you don’t know, you’ll never find them.
Hey, does anyone have any penguin villager in or about to be in boxes? I would prefer roald, but any will do. I have Piper (chickadee) about to leave the island. she will be in boxes tomorrow, so if anyone's interested please get back to me quickly.
Wow, I had no idea that even occurred. I've been playing ACNH since it dropped and there's still so much stuff I don't know. I usually just use amiibo cards to move in villagers or island hop. I never really got into the mechanics of the game. There's just too much and I'm lazy. 🤪Thanks for answering my question. Good luck with your island.
I apologize that my play style preference has caused a problem. GMA and others, including myself, would just meet people where they’re at. No problem though. Sorry to cause an argument. I really just wanted fruit if I could visit someone without having to qualify my reason for doing so. Wish you all the best and sorry for the trouble.
I used to be active on this thread two years ago and we just simply helped each other. If someone had a preference, we just accommodated them. We didn’t try to argue with their preferred play style. Apparently things have changed. I remember working with you in the past too. TLDR: My preference about move in queues really doesn’t matter. If someone is willing to let me come get fruit, that’s all that matters. If not, then fine. Why force me to play in a way I don’t want to?
Fruity on the one hand, I appreciate you trying to educate me, but on the other hand, you’re simply wrong. If I visit an island the last 4 villagers who moved off their island will fill my void. It’s a fact; read the article. Search it online. If you choose to disagree, that’s totally fine. But I know I’m right from undeniable experience and experimenting. I didn’t come here to argue these trivial things; I came for fruit. If you and others don’t want to help then that’s fine.
Teddy, islands autofill faster if you have a high island rating and depends on the amount of villagers you currently have. It's not based on people that visit you. To keep it from filling quickly if you have over 6 villagers then just pile trash outside the plot that is empty to give yourself more time to villager hunt.
Teddy, you only get villagers that reference another island if you specifically go to someone's island where the villager is in boxes and you ask them to move to yours, or if someone visits your island and talks to your villagers they reference those visitors/their island on occasion. If villagers come from other islands then you can complain to Isabelle about what they say, how they dress, or what their home looks like if they display something you don't like to get it deleted.
I just prefer not to have villagers autofill an empty plot from other islands making references to those islands. Having an empty void also allows me to have an empty plot for multiple days without it autofilling. If my void is empty, I can villager hunt for days in real time and not have to worry about it autofilling if I don’t find someone. I admit it’s a very personal preference of mine but it’s just the way I like things to be for this new island.
Just curious but why is the queue an issue for you? I'm just trying to understand after reading about the void.

Yes, but there is something called a move in/move out queue that is affected by villagers. So if someone had Marshall move out of their island and then they come to visit my island, Marshall will move from their move out queue to my move in queue. Then when I have an available plot, if I let it autofill, it will fill with Marshall. And when I greet him on move in day he will tell me he is from such and such island that he moved from. I’ve experienced this on previous islands with GMA.
Teddy, vistors don't affect villagers asking to move out. The game is programmed that after you have 6 villagers living on your island a villager will ask to move 15 days after a previous villager moved out, or after 5 days from when you told a villager to stay after they asked to move.
