Joan or Sow Joan, is the grandmother of the adorable turnip seller Daisy Mae. While Daisy Mae sells most of the turnips nowadays, Joan does more than her fair share of work by harvesting for the family turnip business!

In the Version 2.0 Update, you can spot Joan at The Roost, and if you have the Happy Home Paradise DLC you can even find her at the Hospital on Mondays for her weekly check up or design a vacation home for her!

Did you know...

• Joan has been in the turnip business for over 60 years and she was the turnip seller prior to Daisy Mae!
• Joan goes to the Hospital every Monday for her weekly check up. She says that all those years working must have finally caught up to her old bones.
• Joan is sometimes mistaken for a male character because of her unique voice, which is a lot lower and hoarser than other female villagers.

Joan will occasionally drop by The Roost with her granddaughter, Daisy Mae to spend some quality time together.

Which is pretty sweet after remembering that Daisy Mae has always wanted to bring her Gram-Gram to the island and show her around!

You can also invite Joan direclty to The Roost by using the phone to scan her amiibo card. She'll even bring Daisy Mae along with her when she comes to the cafe!
