    I have the exact same concern. Back in New Leaf, talking with the neighbors from Dec 1 to Dec 24, they would give me 2 hints as to what they want: what type of item and what color. Back in 2013, I found out everyone's wish and made it all come true, impressing Jingle with my work. But now in New Horizons, I'm not getting a straight answer and it's making me anxious

    How do I know which presents to give each villager? Do theyr un up to you (EG "Hey sarah!") or do you find out in regular conversation (the ones you initiate)?
