What to Do Before the UpdateMessage Board
That's probably something we can't change if we post here. Most people are really nice here, but there must be one or two weirdos crashing the parties from time to time. The best we can do is to set up fence and watch closely to prevent guests from jump off the pier. My island is 2/3 done so I can actually make it loose (just fence up the rare hybrids), maybe you can do that first. At least they can't pluck those rare hybrids.
Hi Malnuhc 🙂 Thanks for the tips. I knew about ending the session because that is exactly what I had to do. Fortunately, nobody else was on the island at the time. Good tip about blocking them though. To be fair, it was the first time someone randomly turned up and acted like an idiot. I know that the worst they can do is run through your flowers or pick your flowers. I just don’t want any uninvited guests. Hard to keep track of who is who when that happens.

Also, you can probably do a not-so-ideal prep. Bar up the area near the entrance (of course, leave some space so that you or the wanted guest can drop stuff on the ground). That way people cannot go further. The only problem is that guests can now jump off at the airport's tier to swim. So again, if the unwanted guest is wearing wet suit, just end the session.
Rosie. If you have some unwanted people going to your island, you can press "-" immediately to end the session (which also closes the gate). Furthermore, if those unwanted people ruining your island, you can block them by going to the home screen of switch, go to your profile (top left), then go to "Add Friend", then go to "search for users you played with". You can find the most recent users you interacted.
