The non-fruit trees are how you can get furniture items from shaking them and, later in the year you can get acorns that will be used in seasonal recipes. I've set my island up with 17 non fruit trees because, by shaking them daily, you get 10 that drop 100 bells each, 5 that have wasps, and 2 with furniture items.

up on the cliffs we've got woodsy/forest, and I'm rearanging the bottom level. A Bunch of the hybrid flower plants I have are gone now, but I still have black tulips, blue windflowers and pink mums
besides looks, is there a reason to plant oak trees? trying to decide if it's worth it to keep the little section we've got started, or if there's a better use of space for it
