My current nickname is guacamole. Really?? Lol
You can. I had two nicknames going at once at one time. You simple decide who can call you what. So Bill called me Awesomeness and Bubbles called me dancer. Bill gave me the nickname first then when Bubbles asked to call me that I said no and a few weeks later I was asked to be called Dancer.

I have noticed that depending on what type of personality the person has drives the nickname. That’s still a fun nickname! :)

There are some unique ones they think up! Lol
they do offer up weird ones... when Jacques was on my island he wanted to call me "canape" - little did i know then that the nickname would spread... like a weed! lol :-)

They’ve yet to ask to change it just if they can call me what one of their neighbors is calling me but believe me I’ll be changing it. Lol!!

Bebe. You can also change your nickname. When they ask if they Initially give you a new nickname, you Say no and they give you the option to change it. I didn’t want to be called V-8 so I changed it to something else.
What?! I did some TT because we missed the wedding and my gummy girl wanted some items. After I came back real time one of my villagers was calling me “reverb” now everyone has been asking and I’ve been saying no, lol!🤦🏻♀️
