i've never heard of the digging a hole part. I covered my entire island in stone path tiles except for the place I wanted it to appear. that sounds much easier

Still have these diys if anyone needs some: shell rug, jungle flooring, bamboo sphere, golden arowana model, rustic-stone wall, wooden simple bed, pine bonsai tree, sandy-beach flooring, wooden fish, tree's bounty little tree, pot, grass standee, woodland wall, knitted-grass backpack, outdoor bath, corral fence, bamboo flooring, bamboo wall, wooden-knot wall, bamboo wall decoration, armor shoes, gold-screen wall, knight's helmet, document stack, cherry hat, grass skirt
it'll take a day to respawn, and if you break multiple rocks, they will spawn one at a time, so it takes a few days to get them all back
Dig a hole where you want it then eat fruit and smash it it will move the next day. You can only do this one at a time

eat a fruit and then smash it with a shovel. if you break it before you collect from it. it only gives you one rock. getting it into the correct spawn point takes a lot of effort, there's all sorts of guides online. look at 'rock gardens'

Judy is adorable, and I really like her house. Sherb is also sweet. I know a lot of people who dislike having certain characters on their islands because they don't want 'UGLY' villagers. TBH, I was less than fond of Gaston's look when he moved in, and now he's one of my favorite characters. he's like the grumpy old man mascot of Dreamers!

Can someone tell me how one would go about moving a rock?
castiel - some people like to “curate” their villagers, most commonly so they have at least one of each villager type (normal, peppy, cranky, etc.). i’ve read that this ensures that they craft a wider variety of DIYs they can offer you. not sure how much truth there is to that but would love to know others’ input!
Hi Castiel - Different types of villagers (smug, sisterly, peppy, etc.) will give you different diys and teach you different reactions. Once you have that stuff taken care of, it is just fun to hunt for villagers you really want :)
Jericho open if you want the fancy tulip wrearh diy (Chevre crafting) and nooks has magazines. dodo is 98871 just leave the trees be and mind the flowers :)
People just favor certain characters other than that you should aim for one of each personality type to learn every reaction
