How to Play CJ's Seasports Challenge

1. Talk to C.J.

Find C.J. around your island. You'll have to search for him — though if you're lucky, the game's title screen might give away his location!

2. Join the Seasports Challenge

C.J. will invite you to a Seasports Challenge, where you'll have to catch a couple fish with certain specification!

3. Catch Some Fish!

Keeping in mind C.J.'s requirements, go and reel in those fishes!

4. Sell Your Catch (Optional)

Once you complete the challenge, he'll buy off your catch at 50% above the regular price. You can keep coming back to sell him fish within the day!

C.J.'s Visit Schedule

C.J. will visit at random weekdays and will stay until 5:00AM the next day.

Why Isn't C.J. Showing Up? (Troubleshooting)

C.J. is a special character who visits your island every other week. If you can't find him anywhere, it might be possible that you'd just have to wait next week!

How to Get Collectibles

1. Join C.J.'s Seasports Challenge

Before you can get you hands on a Fish Model, you'll have to prove yourself with C.J.'s seasports challenge! Just follow the steps above:

2. Choose “Make me a collectible”

After the challenge, talk to C.J. again and choose “Make me a collectible,” and he'll go through the process of comissioning your very own Fish Model!

3. Give Three of the Same Fish

Make sure that you have three of the same fish in your inventory. Turn these over to C.J. and he'll mail you a model the very next day!

Take note that you can only commision one model at a time.

C.J.'s Fishing Tourney

Alongside his seasports challenges, C.J. also hosts the Fishing Tourneys on the second Saturday every January, April, July, and October.

Players can catch as much fish as they can and trade points for exclusive "fish swag" or other reward items!
