Equip your Fishing Rod ACNH - Fishing Rod

1. Craft Fish Bait

To easily catch the fish you want, you'll need to craft fish bait! This will help attract more fish instead of just waiting for one to pop out!

2. Check Shadow Size

You'll need to check the shadow size of the fish that appeared and make sure it's similar to the Char.

3. Go Fish!

Once you're sure the fish that appeared has the same shadow size as the fish you want, it's time to prepare your Fishing Rod and go fish!

Char Additional Info

Dialogue When Caught

"I caught a char! Now I'm gonna sit on it!"

Dialogue When Donated to Blathers

The char is one of the bigger fish around the world, and, in the world of fish, that's quite an accomplishment!

They are territorial predators, and therefore must constantly defend their 'turf' from others. So when you see a large char like this one, it is likely a skilled fighter and veteran of many battles.

My feathers! I hope it never has cause to go into battle with me!

I’ve been fishing every night after 9pm for over a week, throwing in fish bait, and I’ve yet to catch a char! It’s November Why are they so difficult ? I’ve certainly been catching a lot of sturgeons, np. And yes, I’m up on the highest cliff river entry!

They are found in the rivers on cliffs, not in ponds
