What to Do Before the UpdateMessage Board
If you don't like the chosen villager you can quite the game without exiting the conversation and go through the process again and again until a villager you are willing to have leave is chosen
Talk to them (you may have to spam talk to them) until they say something about wanting to live there or not wanting to go home, say "you should" or whatever pops up, then they will either say yes, r say "lets play a game. if you win, i live here. if you lose, i go home" Bad news is, they're all based off of chance. Good news is, you can play more than once if you lose
Sophie- you can still play their game and get them to move in. They will check with res serv and then tell you island's full at which point they will offer to replace a current villager. If you don't like their replacement don't end the convo and exit the game without saving (exit game mid convo!) and try again until they offer to replace whoever you want to leave. Hope that makes sense haha.

After you talk to them a couple of times you can ask them to stay and there's a mini-game and then a random villager will be chosen to move out
if I have max number of villagers and someone comes to my campsite I'd like to live here, what can I do?
