The most practical use of Wasp Nests is to craft them into Medicines. This is especially useful for when you receive a wasp sting and want a quick fix.

Wasp Nests are used as a DIY crafting item to create the item(s) shown above. Besides Medicine, you can use Wasp Nests to craft various pieces of furniture to decorate your home and island!
How to Get Wasp Nests Fast
Shake Hardwood or Cedar Trees on Your Island
Up to 5 Wasp Nests can spawn in different Hardwood or Cedar Trees on your island everyday. A single shake is enough to check for each tree. Just make sure you know how to deal with the Wasps that come out of the nests as they can sting you. Either catch the Wasps with a Net, or scare them away with a Party Popper.
Also note that Wasps Nests do not spawn in fruit trees, no matter how much you shake them.
How to Catch a Wasp (Bee) Easily
Visit Other Islands
When you unlock the Airport, you can visit other islands, such as the ones in Mystery Island Tours, and shake the trees there if you'd like to collect more Wasps Nests. Do note that they don't spawn while playing online multiplayer.
