You can get the Tricera Tail fossil by digging up the star-shaped spots on your island with a shovel.
At least 4 or 5 fossil spots are guaranteed to appear everyday, so make sure you check every part of your island!
Fossil spots also have a chance to appear on Mystery Islands, although only one spot will appear at a time.
Talk to Blathers and pick Make a Donation to donate the fossil to the Museum's growing collection!
Take note that Blathers needs to assess the fossil before you can donate it!
If you've already completed your Museum's fossil collection, consider selling them at Nook's Cranny!
Fossil prices range between 1,000 to 6,000 Bells, so you're always getting a profit by selling them!
You can also use the Tricera Tail fossil to decorate your home or your island.
You can place smaller fossils on tables while larger fossils are placed on the floor or ground.
