How to Catch Butterflies Easily

How to Get Butterflies to Spawn

Tip 1 Make sure to have a lot of flowers and all the colors
Tip 2 Chase away other bugs
Tip 3 Head to a mystery island

Most butterflies spawn more frequently on flowers, so make sure to plant some flowers around your island! It's recommended to plant a variety of diffent flower types and colors, as some butterflies are only attracted to certain colors.

If all else fails, or if you don't want to run around near your precious flower fields, you can head to a Mysterious Island and use your net to catch some butterflies!

You never know when the bug you are searching for might just pop out in front of you on its own, so always keep your net equipped and at the ready!

2. Press A to catch butterflies

ACNH - A resident stands in the middle of the island

Most butterflies hang around near flowers, so make sure to have some flowerbeds in your island! Furthermore, some butterflies only spawn near certain flower colors, so be sure to plant as many flower variations as you can!

Once near some flowers, you can just run up to the butterfly and press A to catch them!
