No. You would both need the game. The only way to "visit" eachothers island would be using Dream codes. You wont be able to affect anything on the real island in the dream island though.
My daughter and I both have switches we share the animal crossing game cartridge. I would like to go to her island and she would like to come to my island but cannot figure out how to do it. Is it possible to visit someones island with out them playing the game at the same time as yoh?

I made the mistake of gifting one of my villagers a new pair of shoes. now she runs around half the time nekked wearing just the shoes. Is there any way to fix this? Can I keep gifting her clothes and eventually she'll get rid of the shoes? I already tried talking to Isabelle.

You can only get one other fruit (and coconuts) from mystery islands. Unfortunately, you to have to purchase a nintendo subscription and trade online with other players for the remaining 3 fruits.
