Wuthering Waves Version 2.1, Waves Sing, and the Cerulean Bird Calls, will be released February 13, 2025 after Version 2.0. This major update will continue the intriguing plot that is unraveling within Rinascita.
It will also feature two new playable characters, Phoebe and Brant, as well as their signature weapons!

Changli Rerun Banner |
Phoebe and Brant will be the two new playable Resonators in Version 2.1! Their banners will run in the first and second half of Version 2.1 respectively, along with the rerun of Changli alongside Brant's banner!
Phoebe will be available by February 13, 2025 then Brant and Changli will follow on March 6, 2025!
New Weapons
Luminous Hymn (Rectifier)
Luminous Hymn will be a new 5-star Rectifier and is the signature weapon of the new Spectro character, Phoebe. This weapon will be available to get from its own Absolute Pulsation banner in the first half of Version 2.1.
Unflickering Valor (Sword)
Unflickering Valor will be a new 5-star Sword and is the signature weapon of the new Fusion character Brant. Similar to Luminous Hymn, it will be available in its own Absolute Pulsation banner running in parallel with Brant himself in the second phase of Version 2.1.
Ocean's Gift (Rectifier)
Ocean's Gift will be a new 4-star Rectifier weapon that is confirmed to be a free weapon from the Old Man and the Whale event in Version 2.1!
New Area
Riccioli Islands
Riccioli Islands will be a new area players can explore in Version 2.1. Most of the area is covered in bodies of water, so players can enjoy the features of the Gondola more here!
Averado Vault Underground
The underground of the Averado Vault houses the plenty of echoes, precious metals, and artworks which players can enjoy on the Silent as a Falling Leaf exploration quest!
New Endgame Content
Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways
Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways will be a permanent weekly combat feature where you can get Astrites, and leveling-up materials as rewards! Here, you can team up with three resonators to defeat the enemies!
Whimpering Wastes
Whimpering Wastes will be a new permanent end-game content! Here you'll fight enemies across three main sea areas to accumulate points and earn rewards!
Tower and Adversity Will Reset Monthly
Thanks to the addition of Whimpering Wastes and Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways, Tower of Adversity now has a monthly reset. This is longer than its previous reset timer, which is just two weeks!

Version 2.1 also has a lot of new features for everyone to enjoy!

Echo Recommendation
Version 2.1 will introduce a new auto equip feature! This allows the game to automatically equip the recommended echoes based on active player data! This is extremely useful for players who are just understanding how the Sonata Effects synchronize with their resonators!
Echo Loadout
You will enjoy having multiple loadouts or presets ready for your resonators. This is extremely valuable as some fights require different builds!
Increase in Echo Backpack Capacity
Due to player feedback, the Echo Backpack capacity will increase to 3,000 in Version 2.1!
Camera Feature Upgrades
The camera will have new idle poses in Version 2.1, and players can expect more in the following updates! It will also have new filters, intensity features, and horizontal and vertical movement!
Full Ray Tracing
Full Ray Tracing will make its debut into the game on 2.1! Thanks to Nvidia, players can now enjoy the game with better and more accurate lighting!
This is only supported on specific PC graphics cards, but thankfully WuWa mentioned that more devices can enjoy this in the future as they'll collab with more hardware and software providers!
Mac Release
It was announced on the 2.1 Livestream that Wuthering Waves will be available on the Mac Apple Store on March 27, 2025.
