Wild Heart's Return Walkthrough

Head to the Theater

Fast travel to Jinzhou and follow the purple marker to reach the theater and to start the companion story.

Visit the Three Clients with Lingyang

Wait for Lingyang's dialogue to end and follow the purple marker that points to the client. Talk to each client to progress the quest objective. After talking to the last client, Bei Shi, you will be tasked to look for his missing brother.

Eavesdrop on the Savage Beasts' Conversation

While on the search for Bei Shi's brother, you will come across Exiles that seem to have clues leading to his whereabouts. Eavesdrop into their conversation without getting caught by the Exiles with a diamond eye marker on their head.

You can do this by skirting around the edges of the elevated ground and hopping over when the coast is clear to reach the designated area.

Follow the Bell Sound

After investigating around the area, follow the direction of the bell sound that suddenly starts ringing; an audio visualizer will appear on screen to help you know where the sound is coming from. A cutscene will trigger once you reach the location of the sound along Thorny Passage.

Enter the Cave

Destroy the Fissured Ledge

Use the Levitator function to pick up a Tacetite Fulminate crystal and throw it onto the cave wall to destroy the Fissured Ledge.

How to Use the Levitator

Destroy Fragile Surface Rock

Do a Plunge Attack, by hitting the jump plus Basick Attack button after, to destroy the fragile surface rock and grant yourself access to the deeper parts of the cave.

Pass Through King Spearback

Explore the cave and collect Noctemint in order to make the King Spearback move away from the path.

Fend Off Enemies

Find Bei Ji in the cave and defeat the Exiles and beasts that appear. A cutscene will play afterwards.

Follow Lingyang to the Jinzhou Theater

Look for the Right Props

Follow Lingyang to the Jinzhou Theater and help him look for the right props for his performance. The first prop can be found by some crates at the circular window backstage, the second prop is found on the desk opposite to the circular window, and the third prop can be found on the desk next to the circular window.

Wait for Lingyang's Performance the Next Day

Set the Time between 15:00-17:00 the next day and look for Bei Ji and Bei Shi in the audience to initiate the performance. A cutscene will play which completes the quest after being viewed.
