There are lots of things to consider playing through Wuthering Waves, that it can feel overwhelming. Here are some secrets, exploits and tricks that can make your journey in Solaris-3 easier!
List of Contents
Wuthering Waves' entire theme is about sound, and it plays into every bit of gameplay.
Specifically, combat has a few sound cues players can listen to to gain advantage in combat, like the timing to parry an attack, if a Perfect Dodge is executed, and if the Intro/Outro Skills become available to rotate your team members.
The Rover is a pretty good unit to be a staple for your team comp, as both its Spectro and Havoc forms are very solid Resonators to build a team around.
Using a well-timed dodge, players can actually cancel out of transformation Echo Skills to let them switch back to Resonators without the usual delay that happens after the final attack is launched.
Having a little trouble making it to the top of a high place with so little distance left? Try using the Grapple Hook via Utility to get that last burst of distance and make it there regardless of how little Stamina you have left!
Despite Solaris-3 being a very big world just from release alone, it IS possible to run out of Tacet Discords to fight or materials to collect for the more dedicated players.
If that happens to be the case, you can always jump into your friend's world and start collecting materials there while in Co-op mode!
Is Wuthering Waves a Multiplayer Game?
Whenever you absorb an Echo, the Data Bank will automatically register the rarest version you've collected. This retroactively completes the other rarities in one fell swoop.
For example, if you get a 5-star Spearback from the Echo Summon Pre-Release Web Event, all other rarities of that Echo from 2-star and up will be automatically registered as well!
Never think that you are safe when you are in a World Boss's Tacet Field by opening the Terminal Menu.
It takes about two minutes for the World Boss to respawn after being defeated, and it will still count down while elsewhere like in Map, Terminal Menu or Guidebook. The moment you exit the Terminal once the respawn timer finishes, the boss will immediately notice you and start attacking.
When fighting against Special Bosses, hitting Parries, Dodge Counters, Intro Skills or Outro Skills will deal percent HP damage that scales with the boss's HP.
This allows even the weakest member of your team to deal massive damage when the correct attack hits. This is especially crucial for players who want to attempt no-hit runs or Level 1 clears.
Make sure to check your equippped Echoes, as some of them can provide additional mobility to your team!
There are some like Cyan-Feathered Heron which can be used in mid-air for aerial recover, and then there are those like the Inferno Rider which lets you actually ride on its bike for a brief period!
Players can get a free Echo from a selection of Echoes available in this special Pre-Release web event. This immediately becomes a reward to be sent to your inbox, along with additional resources to kickstart your journey into the game!

These Fragile Rocks are well hidden across Solaris-3, so pay closer attention to the appearance of your surroundings. If rock formations look out of place, it might be a Fragile Rock players can attack and destroy to uncover something, like Supply Chests or overworld puzzle pieces.
An interesting sight you can occasionally come across are Tacet Discords fighting against one another; some from the same species, others from completely different groups.
Being near them as they fight registers as you being in combat, and any energy or item that drops as they fight will automatically come to you. Engaging them in combat is completely optional, unless you're specifically Echo Hunting one of them.
Sometimes, NPCs will have a special minigame or challenge hidden when interacting with them.
Always try to interact with NPCs whenever you get the chance. These challenges or minigames they have might generously reward you for the effort!
Depending on how far you are with the game's Main Quest, some areas might be off-limits for Rovers until a prerequisite is achieved.
The most notable example as of is writing is the Norfall area; until players reach a certain point in the Main Story, the nothernmost area of the map will be inaccessible through invisible walls. It will only go away once a certain requirement is fulfilled.
