How to Play Unfrozen Traces
Ride the Bike Through the Frostlands
Play through the The Star That Voyages Far main quest to unlock the Unfrozen Traces event! Once you can ride your motorbike through the Roya Frostlands, you will unlock the Unfrozen Traces event. Keep playing through Aemeath's main quest to unlock more tasks!

Unlock Tasks Through Main Story Progression
Unfrozen Traces is filled with tasks tied to your progression of the Chapter 3 Act III Main Quest: The Star That Voyages Far. The fourth and final set of tasks is time-gated. It will likely unlock once the second phase of Version 3.1 is released alongside Luuk Herssen.
Select Go for Guidance
If the tasks are confusing or challenging, feel free to press Go. Doing this will show the task's location and guide you on what needs to be done! Once the task is complete, press Claim to get the rewards.

Explore the SkyArk Space Station
As you progress through The Star That Voyages Far main quest, you will arrive at the SkyArk Space Station with Aemeath and Luuk Herssen. Once you reach this part of the main quest, this Unfrozen Traces task will be complete!

Walk Into the Falling Snow With Aemeath
Complete this task by reaching the Research Outpost where Aemeath once worked during the The Star That Voyages Far main quest. This section of the quest will be shortly after exploring the Archive Sector at Roya Frostlands.
Lahai-Roi (Roya Frostlands) Interactive Map
Shatter Certain Ice Blocks With Glommoth
There are certain Ice Blocks within Lahai-Roi you could destroy by using the Projector: Glommoth function. To start, collect an echo of Glommoth in the overworld. Afterwards, use the Projector and equip Glommoth's ability. Next, track Ice Blocks by pressing Go on this specific task and head towards it.
To complete this mission, use the Project: Glommoth function at an angle where all Ice Blocks can be seen in order to destroy all of them!
Complete Specific Treasure Spot Challenges
Press Go on this task to track the required Treasure Spot. Drive to the designated Treasure Spot and look for all the Supply Chests with the Owl Scanner.

Catch Up With Sigillum
As you are halfway into The Star That Voyages Far main story, Aemeath will be stolen by an enemy named Sigillum. Catch up to Sigillum as fast as you can with your motorbike and get Aemeath back!
Defeat Sigillum
Eventually, both Rover and Aemeath will have a fight against Sigillum during the The Star That Voyages Far main quest. Defeat the huge mech to complete this task! Make sure to dodge its large AoE attacks, and its multiple projectiles.
Complete Specific Soliskin Guide Challenges
Press Go on this task to track the required Soliskin Guide Challenges. Afterwards, drive to the designated Soliskin challenge, which is indicated through the unique Soliskin icon on the map. Solve the challenge by paving a way for the little Soliksin so they could cleanse their corrupted giant friends!
Complete Certain Void Storm Zones
Track the required Void Storm by pressing Go for this task. Then, drive towards a Void Storm which is indicated by a vortex-like icon in the map. Emerge victorious against the enemies within the Void Storm to complete this task!

Completing The Star that Voyages Far main quest completes this task. Be sure to finish its previous quest, Ode to the Second Sunrise to unlock the quest you need.
The Star that Voyages Far is a fairly long quest to complete. Be prepared to allocate a fair amount of time to complete it.

Complete Specific Bike Racing Challenges
Look for a Bike Racing Challenge, which is indicated by a bike icon on the map, by pressing Go for this challenge. After arriving at one, ride your motorbike through as many Score Rings as you can to get points! The more points you get before reaching the finish line, the more rewards you get, so do your best.

Complete the Song of Ice and Steel Quest
Complete the exploration quest titled Song of Ice and Steel to finish this task. Once you are done with The Star that Voyages Far main quest, you should immediately receive a message via WavesLine from an Unnamed Sender detailing about the Migration at Upphaf Forest.

Investigate Glaciers in Ice Seal Breaker
Find the Pioneer Researcher located south of Oldfrost Harbor, and rescue her from the Tacet Discords. After saving her be sure to activate the probe nearby, and talk to her one last time to complete this task!
Long Way Home
The last set of tasks, Long Way Home, is still unavailable. It will likely be released once the second phase of Version 3.1 is out, which will be on February 26, 2026. During this time, Luuk Herssen's banner will also be released.
