Temporary Waypoints are fast travel points you can place anywhere in Wuthering Waves. Read on to learn how to get and use Waypoint Modules, as well as recommended areas for temporary Waypoints in this guide!
List of Contents
The Temporary Waypoint Gadget and Waypoint Module Synthesis Recipe are unlocked upon reaching Pioneer Level 2.
You can raise your Pioneer Level by unlocking waypoints, and opening chests, which should raise your exploration progress per area.
The Pioneer Association can be found in Jinzhou, near a resonance beacon.
Speak to the Woman behind the desk to review your progress and redeem rewards when possible!
Once you have your Waypoint Gadget, you can equip it from the Utilities Screen.
Once equipped, it should on your UI, similar to when you have any other gadgets equipped.
Waypoint Modules can be placed anywhere in the overworld, and will aid in returning to areas with no nearby waypoints.
Click the Gadget once you have it equipped to place down a temporary Waypoint that you can teleport to anytime!
Placing a temporary Waypoint consumes a Waypoint Module, so make sure that you have enough in your inventory before heading to an area you want.
Upon redeeming the Pioneer Level 2 rewards, you will be given 5 Waypoint Modules alongside the Waypoint gadget.
Temporary Waypoints can be removed anytime, so you can move them or get rid of it entirely. Just keep in mind that removing waypoints do not refund the Modules, so you may end up wasting precious materials when removing waypoints.
Even though you can synthesize more than 3 Waypoint Modules, you can only place 3 Waypoints at a time.
To change where your waypoints are placed, you must either wait until it expires, or remove it from your map.
You can place temporary Waypoints near boss arenas to make farming bosses faster. Some bosses have waypoints near them, but you can place the temporary waypoint by the Arena's edge, making each trip to the boss faster.
You can also place temporary waypoints near Special Enemy spawns, as these strong enemies drop High Rarity Echoes when defeated!
If you still have not obtained a Phantom Echo, you can place your Temporary Waypoint near Phantom spawns to make farming them easier.
Spawn points reset daily, so having a waypoint in these areas can help you check faster if you have spawned a Phantom or not.

Another way to use your temporary waypoint is by placing it near Material Farm spots. If you have a specific overworld material that you need, you can find an area that has plenty of it and put down a waypoint for later.
Materials respawn daily, so having a waypoint in these areas allow you to return once the server resets to make gathering easier!
