| Strengths | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
• Fusion Attribute Enabler. Lupa is the premier enabler for the Fusion attribute, able to passively buff the Fusion DMG of the entire team with her kit. • Fusion RES Shredder. Lupa also decreases the Fusion RES of the enemy, with maximum RES shred obtained when Lupa is in a mono-Fusion team. • Boss Killer. Lupa's Pack Hunt skill increases the damage dealt to Overlord and Calamity class echoes, making Lupa and her team the ultimate boss killers. |
|||
| Weaknesses | |||
| • Team Building is Restrictive. As much as we know Fusion team enabling is her strength, this is also Lupa's weakness. This makes her team building restrictive, as her buffs is only fully utilized in Mono Fusion teams. |
Lupa is a Fusion Sub-DPS enabler that flourishes in Mono-Fusion teams, enabling the Fusion Attribute by providing Fusion DMG Bonus and Fusion RES shred on enemies. This makes her the most important character in a Fusion team, taking the likes of Brant, Changli, and Encore to new heights. This however, makes her team building a bit restrictive and are only fully realized in Mono-Fusion Teams.
Overall, we recommend pulling for Lupa if you have a Fusion team ready or are aiming to build one. Though she can deal decent damage, she is primarily an enabler and should be treated like a final piece of the Fusion puzzle.

Lupa is the premier Fusion DMG enabler that thrives really well in mono Fusion teams. She works perfectly with the Flaming Clawprint echo set which provides additional Fusion DMG to the entire team.
For stats, go for the usual 1:2 critical hit ratio by balancing your needs for either Crit DMG or Crit Rate. For the two 3-costs, go for a double Fusion DMG Bonus or replace one with an ATK% if you do not have two at the same time. Finally, round up the build with two ATK% 1-cost echoes.
A 120-125% Energy Regen requirement is needed for Lupa to optimally do her rotations. We recommend rolling for it in your sub-stats, so you can comfortably play her.
We recommend aiming to balance Lupa's Crit. Ratio to around 75% Crit. Rate and 250% Crit. DMG. This range will let you be more comfortable with her own damage, helping overall team DPS while Lupa is on-field.
| Main Echo | Explanation |
|---|---|
|
|
・The best option for Lupa as it increases Fusion DMG and Resonance Liberation DMG. ・A summon echo, so it does not interrupt Lupa's combo at all. ・Its material is also Lupa's ascension material, so farming it would not be a hassle. |
|
|
・An alternative Molten Rift option for Lupa if you do not have Flaming Clawprint echoes yet. ・Increases Fusion DMG and Resonance Skill, so it would be a bit helpful for Lupa's personal damage. ・Replace this with Lioness of Glory as soon as you arrive in Septimont. |
|
|
・Very early game alternative for Molten Rift Lupa, especially if you're not in Rinascita yet. ・Replace with Lioness of Glory if able, or the Nightmare version if you want to stick with Molten Rift. |
|
|
・Echo that works with Moonlit Clouds. ・Increases the ATK of the next resonator taking the field which is still great if you want to funnel as much damage as possible to that Resonator. ・Sacrifices a bit of Lupa's personal DMG. |

★★★ - Best The definitive Fusion enabler kit that also increases the Fusion DMG Bonus of the whole party. In addition, the set also increases the Resonance Liberation DMG which is perfect for Lupa. Recommended Main Echo: |
|
(5-pc) |
★★☆ - 2nd Best Second best, and the early game option. Molten Rift provides enough Fusion DMG Bonus to increase Lupa's personal damage but does nothing to support other Fusion resonators. Use this echo set if you do not have access to Flaming Clawprint echoes but replace this as soon as you arrive in Septimont. Recommended Main Echo: |
|
(5-pc) |
★☆☆ - 3rd Best A great alternative for a sub-DPS Lupa which enables her to funnel all the damage into the next Resonator entering the field. Sacrifices a lot of Lupa's personal damage because this does not provide any Fusion DMG Bonus at all. Replace with Flaming Clawprint after getting to Septimont. Recommended Main Echo: |

Wildfire Mark is the definitive best weapon for Lupa, able to provide increased Liberation DMG after an Intro Skill or Resonance Liberation - perfect for her kit. This also increases the Fusion DMG Bonus of the entire team!
If you do not have Wildfire Mark, Ages of Harvest and Verdant Summit are good 5★ alternatives. Lustrous Razor might be good as well, but you will have a hard time with critical hit stat building. In any case, Lumingloss is also great with Discord rounding it up to ensure fast rotations for Lupa.

Lupa's potential is greatly realized when she is ran in a Mono Fusion Team. With this in mind, the best teammates for Lupa are Brant and Changli, with Lupa basically closing out the perfect Fusion team trifecta.
Their Outro Skills also complement each other.
This perfect synergy is what makes this Fusion team the best one out there! This team also do not need a healer, as Brant provides both healing and shielding so you would not need Shorekeeper/Verina for this team composition to work.
| 1 | Start off with Lupa and perform Starfall, followed by her Resonance Skill's two casts. Immediately cast her Liberation after to activate Pack Hunt and Glory. You can follow this up with Foebreaker. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Build up her Wolflame stacks and convert it to Wolfaith via her Heavy and Mid-air Attacks. Once available, perform her enhanced Resonance Skill and switch out to Brant to amplify his Fusion DMG and Basic Attack DMG. |
| 3 | Having Brant on-field, do his optimal rotations to build up his Resonance Energy. When his Liberation is available, activate it to deal damage and have Lupa do a Coordinated Attack with Set the Arena Ablaze. |
| 4 | Quickly build Bravo stacks and cast Returned from Ashes when available. Then, switch to Changli once his Concerto energy is full. This will also enhance Lupa's Pack Hunt effects. |
| 5 | Do Changli's optimal rotations to maximize her on-field damage with her Forte. Do this and fill her Concerto gauge quickly. |
| 6 | Once available, switch to Lupa to perform her enhanced Intro Skill, Nowhere to Run!. |
| 7 | Repeat until all enemies are defeated in combat. |

| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
| | Main DPS Replacement for Qiuyuan Brant is viable as a replacement for Qiuyuan since he gets to activate Lupa's buffs due to the entire team being Mono Fusion. He also gives some sustain to the team on top of dealing damage. |
| | Support Replacement for Qiuyuan Shorekeeper replaces Qiuyuan for more healing and general damage buffs. Though weaker in damage, her extra tean sustain is still a consideration especially in more challenging game-modes. |
| | Sub-DPS Replacement for Qiuyuan Mortefi can be used to replace Qiuyuan. He provides good Heavy Attack DMG Amplification with his Outro, as well as Coordinated Attacks with his Liberation. |
| | Main DPS Replacement for Qiuyuan Changli can replace Qiuyuan, as Galbrena can still benefit from her Fusion DMG Outro. However, there will be no dedicated sustain unit in the team, so it will be a lot more challenging for most players. |
| | DPS Replacement for Qiuyuan Phrolova can be used to replace Qiuyuan for her Heavy Attack DMG amplification and off-field damage with her Liberation. Do note that this team will not maximize Lupa's Fusion buffs. |
| | Sub-DPS Replacement for Qiuyuan Iuno has the highest Heavy Attack DMG amplification in the game, which makes her a viable option for this team comp. Do note that this team will not maximize Lupa's Fusion buffs. |
Lupa works alongside Galbrena and Qiuyuan to make up a semi-Fusion team that focuses on buffing Galbrena as much as possible. Lupa gets to provide Fusion-centric buffs that she can funnel on to Galbrena. Despite not being able to activate the maximum amount, her extra ATK and Fusion DMG buffs are still really strong.
Qiuyuan, on the other hand, gives huge Echo Skill DMG buffs to the entire team, and especially towards the next Resonator with his Outro. Furthermore, he gives extra Crit DMG to the incoming Resonator which in this team should be Galbrena.
| 1 | Start with Lupa and cast her two Resonance Skill instances followed by her Liberation. Continue this with Foebreaker and build up her Wolflame stacks. |
|---|---|
| 2 | When Wolflame is full, convert it to Wolfaith with her Mid-air and Heavy Attacks. Lastly, cast Echo Skill for Galbrena's Afterflame stacks then use Resonance Skill and switch to Qiuyuan when Outro is available. |
| 3 | Upon entering the field, have Qiuyuan do two Basic Attacks to fill his Forte. Then, activate his Echo Skill for Galbrena's passive and Liberation to deal damage and buff her Crit. DMG. |
| 4 | After his Liberation, hold Heavy Attack to do a 3-string attack. Lastly, cast Resonance Skill and switch to Galbrena with his Outro to amplify Echo Skill DMG. |
| 5 | With Galbrena on-field, press Echo Skill to generate Afterflame and follow it up with 6 Basic Attacks. This will fill her Sinflame stacks, letting her cast her Enhanced Resonance Skill and enter the Demon Hypostasis state. |
| 6 | After entering Demon Hypostasis, activate her Liberation to deal significant Echo Skill DMG and increase her skills' DMG multipliers. Then, follow this up with 7 Basic Attacks to deplete her Forte gauge for extra damage. |
| 7 | Once her Forte is fully consumed and her Concerto filled, switch back to Lupa to complete the rotation. |
| 8 | Repeat until all enemies are defeated. |

| * Tidebreaking Courage is the ideal Echo Set for Brant if you have him at 250% Energy Regen. Only use Molten Rift if you don't meet the stat requirements. | ||
If you do not have either Changli or Brant, Encore is a good replacement for the other missing Resonator. Majority of Encore's attacks are also Basic Attacks, so she will be able to use Lupa's Outro Skills.
Though for Brant teams, we suggest funneling Lupa's Outro to Brant since his Basic Attack DMG scaling is better than Encore's.
| 1 | Start off with Lupa's Starfall and activate Resonance Skill twice immediately after. Then, cast her Resonance Liberation to receive Pack Hunt and Glory's team-wide effects. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Follow this up with Foebreaker and three Mid-air attacks to perform Firestrike. After this, do a Heavy Attack to fill your Wolfaith. Once available, perform her Enhanced Resonance Skill and switch to another Resonator. Next Resonator |
| 3 | When either Brant or Encore are on-field, do their optimal combos and maximize the effects of Lupa's Fusion DMG and Basic Attack DMG Amplification. When you use their Liberation, Lupa will also perform a Coordinated Attack. |
| 4 | Once Brant or Encore's Outro is available, switch to the next Resonator. Next Resonator |
| 5 | With Changli or Encore on-field, do their internal rotations to deal damage while in Lupa's buff duration. Build their Concerto energy and switch to Lupa once available. |
| 6 | Lupa will enter the field via her enhanced Intro Skill, Nowhere to Run!. |
| 7 | From here, you can repeat the previous steps until all enemies are defeated. |

|
| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
| | Main DPS Replacement Replaces Brant in the Main-DPS role with Lupa boosting her Basic Attack DMG. |
| | Support Replacement The semi-premium replacement for Shorekeeper, if you do not have her. |
A dual fusion team can also work, but not as effective as a mono Fusion team. The usual Support Shorekeeper in the third slot will provide damage boosts and healing off-field with Lupa providing Fusion Amplification to the main DPS as the defacto Sub-DPS. For this team, the best one to have is Brant, since Lupa can also increase his Basic Attack DMG.
Do take note of Lupa's S3 as the sequence removes the Mono-Fusion restrictions of Lupa's Pack Hunt. Though this team is still not as effective as a full Fusion team even with S3, this enables you to at least get the maximum Fusion RES shred from Lupa even with a Spectro support like Shorekeeper.
| 1 | Start with Shorekeeper and do her ideal combos to build her Resonance and Concerto gauges. Activate Stellarealm when available and switch out to Lupa when her Intro is ready. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Enter the field with Lupa and perform her Resonance Skill's two casts before activating her Liberation. Then, cast Foebreaker to enter the Burning Matchpoint state. |
| 3 | Connect three Mid-air attacks after Foebreaker to immediately cast Firestrike. Then, do a Heavy Attack to complete her Wolfaith stacks. |
| 4 | Activate her enhanced Resonance Skill and switch to Brant once her Concerto gauge is filled. |
| 5 | With Brant on-field, maximize Lupa's Outro and Liberation buffs by doing his optimal rotations. When he casts his Liberation the first time, Lupa will perform a Coordinated Attack. |
| 6 | After Brant finishes his combos and his Outro is available, switch to Shorekeeper. This will detonate Stellarealm. |
| 7 | You can repeat this until all enemies are defeated. Do note that the next instance Lupa enters the field after Shorekeeper, she will perform an enhanced Intro Skill. |
| Lupa Gameplay Guide |

|
|
The video shown above is sped up to 1.5 times the normal speed.
| ① | Initiate combat with Lupa using Starfall and follow it up with her Resonance Skill, Shewolf's Hunt to mark targets and place her Wildfire Banner. Then, you can cast Feral Fang shortly after. |
|---|---|
| ② | Next, activate Resonance Liberation, Fire-Kissed Glory, to provide Lupa and her teammates Pack Hunt and Glory buffs. Once up, perform Foebreaker to deal damage and enter the Burning Matchpoint state. |
| ③ | Then, generate Wolflame with two Mid-air Attacks and finish the combo with Firestrike. |
| ④ | Perform Wolf's Claw immediately after to fill her Wolfaith gauge. |
| ⑤ | After this, cast Resonance Skill, Dance of the Firewolf: Climax, to deal high damage to her target. You can switch out to another Resonator after to maximize her Liberation's buffs. Note: While off-field, Set the Arena Ablaze's coordinated attack will also trigger when the active Resonator performs their Liberation. |
| ⑥ | When both her allies have activated their Intro Skills and finished their internal rotations, switch back to Lupa to have her perform an enhanced Intro Skill, Nowhere to Run! and end the loop. |
Lupa's role in Fusion teams is groundbreaking, as she provides significant value in and off-field. She deals consistent damage with her kit, while sharing buffs to other Resonators that can be fully utilized in the quick-swap playstyle.
| Lupa Combat Starters |
|---|
| Normal and Enhanced Intro Skill |
Basic Attack - Starfall |
Lupa's Enhanced Intro Skill is an excellent engagement tool and deals significant damage against enemies. The enhanced skill, Nowhere to Run!, becomes available once 3 Intro Skills are performed after she casts her Liberation.
This skill works similarly to Shorekeeper's Stellarealm. Also, we recommend utilizing this along with Starfall, an enhanced Basic Attack that strings from her dash.
| Lupa Resonance Liberation Kit Breakdown | |
|---|---|
| Fire-Kissed Glory | Lupa revolves around her Resonance Liberation, as it is an excellent damage source apart from the multiple buffs it provides. |
| Pack Hunt | ![]() This Liberation passive provides the following benefits to all Resonators in the team for 35 seconds: |
| Glory | This is an additional Liberation Passive from her Inherent Skill.
|
| Wild Hunt | If Pack Hunt reaches its maximum buffs within the time duration, Wild Hunt becomes available. Wild Hunt replaces Lupa's next Intro Skill with Nowhere to Run!. Upon casting the Intro Skill, all Pack Hunt and Glory Effects will immediately end. |
| Burning Matchpoint | In the Burning Matchpoint State, Basic Attacks will restore 500% more Wolflame but Resonance Skills, Shewolf's Hunt and Feral Fang cannot be used. This state naturally connects to Dance with the Wolf : Climax, and will end once you perform the Enhanced Resonance Skill. |
Lupa's Resonance Liberation has a lot of effects to her kit, as it transforms her Intro and Resonance Skill to deal Huge Resonance Liberation DMG, while also comprising the majority of her buffs for the entire team.

| Stack Type | Stack Generation | Unlocked Skills |
|---|---|---|
| Wolflame | Basic Attacks Resonance Skill - Shewolf's Hunt Resonance Skill - Feral Fang Resonance Liberation |
Heavy Attack - Wolf's Gnawing Heavy Attack - Wolf's Claw Mid-air Attack - Firestrike Resonance Skill - Foebreaker (Requires Liberation) |
| Wolfaith | Heavy Attack - Wolf's Gnawing Heavy Attack - Wolf's Claw Mid-air Attack - Firestrike |
Resonance Skill - Dance with the Wolf Resonance Skill - Dance with the Wolf: Climax |
The table above shows which skills generate the respective stack type and the corresponding unlocked skills.
Lupa's main mechanic that players must pay attention to is her Forte gauge, comprising of Wolflame and Wolfaith stacks. Both stacking resources transform Lupa's abilities and are necessary to unlock her full potential.

| Lupa Wolfaith Generation | ||
|---|---|---|
| Heavy Attack - Wolf's Gnawing |
Heavy Attack - Wolf's Claw |
Mid-air Attack - Firestrike |
Each time you reach 50 Wolflame stacks, you can perform an enhanced Heavy Attack.
|
||
Lupa's gameplay is quite versatile, as you can use and even combine both ground and mid-air attacks to generate Wolfaith.
Lupa's Resonance Skill has two instances and generates Wolflame per instance. Shewolf's Hunt provides a mark to her target and places Wildfire Banner on to the field.
The second instance is Feral Fang, which can be cast shortly after Shewolf's Hunt. This skill will deal more damage to marked targets and can be followed up with a Normal Attack to start at Basic Attack Stage 2.
| Lupa Max Wolfaith Resonance Skill |
|---|
| Dance with the Wolf |
When Lupa has two Wolfaith stacks, her Resonance Skill will be enhanced and Dance with the Wolf may automatically be casted. Use this when available as it provides a large portion of Lupa's main damage.
| Lupa Resonance Skills from Liberation | |
|---|---|
| Foebreaker |
Foebreaker Mark |
| Dance with the Wolf: Climax |
|
Lupa has multiple changes to her kit when she casts her Resonance Liberation. Foebreaker can be casted shortly after Fire-Kissed Glory, so use it immediately to deal decent damage and enter the Burning Matchpoint state.
During Burning Matchpoint, getting two Wolfaith stacks will transform her Resonance Skill to Dance with the Wolf: Climax, dealing significantly high damage and can be connected to Set the Arena Ablaze.
| Lupa Coordinated Attack Skill |
|---|
| Set the Arena Ablaze |
After performing Dance with the Wolf or Dance with the Wolf: Climax, players can switch to another Resonator. When the active Resonator uses their Liberation, Lupa will perform a coordinated attack as long as it is within 8 seconds.
| Source of Effect | Combat Buffs and Debuffs |
|---|---|
| Resonance Skill | Wildfire Banner - ATK increased by 12% for 8s for:
|
| Resonance Liberation | Pack Hunt
|
| Outro Skill | Active Resonator will receive the following buffs for 14s or when swapped out.
|
Lupa is a Fusion unit that significantly improves Fusion-centric teams due to her massive DMG buffs and enemy debuffs. She performs significantly better in three-man Fusion teams and her buffs will be massively reduced when one is removed from the team.
| Liberation Full Combo |
|---|
| BA (Starfall) → Res. Skill → Res. Skill → Res. Lib. → Res. Skill → Mid-air BA1 → Mid-air BA2 → Mid-air BA3 → HA → Res. Skill → Outro → 3rd Resonator Intro → Repeat |
Ideally, Lupa should always start combat with her Resonance Liberation available to immediately use the buffs provided by Pack Hunt and Glory. This combo can be used everytime if you have around 120-125% Energy Regen for Lupa.
| Non-Liberation Rotation |
|---|
| BA (Starfall) → Res. Skill → Res. Skill → BA2 → BA3 → Mid-air BA1 (Within time frame) → Mid-air BA2 → Mid-air BA3 → BA1 → BA2 → BA3 → BA4 → HA → Res. Lib. → Res. Skill → Mid-air BA1 → Mid-air BA2 → Mid-air BA3 → HA → Res. Skill → Outro → Liberation Start Full Combo |
This rotation is applicable when Lupa does not have enough energy when initially starting out in combat. This maximizes her Wolflame and Wolfaith generation, providing just enough on-field time to deal damage and have time to cast her Liberation.

| Skill | Priority | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Normal Attack | ★★★☆☆ | Normal Attack has middle priority for Lupa, thanks to some of her combos relying on the multipliers here. |
| Resonance Skill | ★★☆☆☆ | Normal Attack and Resonance Skill get the lower priority bracket for Lupa, since you'll be using her Enhanced Skill most of the time that has its multiplier on the Forte Circuit. |
| Forte Circuit | ★★★★☆ | After the Liberation is her Forte Circuit, with most of the multipliers for Lupa's important moves are here. |
| Resonance Liberation | ★★★★★ | The highest priority skill for Lupa. Most of her damage will come from her Liberation so level this up first. |
| Intro Skill | ★★★☆☆ | The multiplier for Nowhere to Run! is huge so consider this skill the third priority. |

Does anyone know if the crit rate buff from her s1 affects her ultimate? Like when she casts it, will the buff give that same ultimate the crit rate buff or does it only trigger once the animation is done?
