Use Chrono Signs

09b - Use Chrono Signs to Defeat the Enemies

The best tool you can use to trivialize defending the security nodes is to use the Chrono Sign given to you at the start of the quest. The tool does not only freeze puzzles in time, but also enemies.

Freeze the enemies in their tracks if you find yourself stuck!

Use Burst Damage

09 - Defend the Third Node

Another way to defend the security node is to use big burst damage to instantly kill the enemies. Do not rely on combo attacks as the enemies will ignore you and aggro the node. Slowly chipping down their health will never work.
