How to Unlock Shadow of the Towers: Twilight Rise

Explore the Area South of Thessaleo's Fells' Nexus

To unlock the Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise exploration quest, players must explore the encircled area in the image above until they overhear a man, Insula, speaking. After hearing him, the quest gets added to the quest journal.

Shadow of the Towers: Twilight Rise Walkthrough

Talk to Insula and Enter Twilight Rise

Follow the quest marker to find and speak with Insula. After the conversation, head into the Twilight Rise.

Fight the Abyssal Gladius For the First Time

Once inside, follow the quest marker. Doing so takes players through hallways, stairs, and, eventually, the first elevator they will ride. Additionally, open and pick up any chests or weapons found along the way.

After taking the elevator and ascending the stairs, players will fight the Abyssal Gladius for the first time. Chip away at its health until it eventually leaves.

Defeat Nocturnus Knight

Once the Abyssal Gladius leaves, continue following the quest marker to fight some Tacet Discords and arrive at the second elevator.

After taking the elevator, open the chest ahead, reveal a transformable wall on the left, and climb the stairs to a room with a Nocturnus Knight. Defeat the knight, then open the nearby chest.

Fight the Abyssal Gladius For the Second Time

After defeating the knight, head to the left side of the room and drop to the lower floor. Players can get an optional chest by pursuing the path ahead before going to the path on the right.

Following the right path leads to the third elevator, which takes players to a room where they'll fight the Abyssal Gladius again. Lower its health until it flees like before.

Defeat Diurnus Knight and Jump into Floor Hole

After the fight, follow the quest markers again and meet a Diurnus Knight. Defeat it, then ride the third elevator ahead.

Players will see three Chest Mimics disguised as premium chests. Defeat them for rewards like Astrite. Continue to the path on the left and arrive to a hole in the floor.

Investigate Clues and Use Secret Passage Way

Falling into the floor hole leads back to the room where players defeated the Nocturnus Knight. Keep following the quest marker until a cutscene is triggered. Afterward, investigate the three marked spots for clues.

Investigating the clues unlocks a secret passageway underneath the third elevator.

Fight the Abyssal Gladius For the Third Time

Follow the quest marker to find and use the secret passage, leading to a room where players will fight the Abyssal Gladius and make it flee for the third time.

Defeat the Abyssal Gladius and Talk to Insula

After it flees for the last time, open the nearby chest and keep following the quest marker to the final boss room. Defeat the Abyssal Gladius, then talk to Insula afterward to complete the quest.

Opening the rewards chest gives players a Lustrous Tide.
