Startorch Academy, also known as the Resonator Academy, is a research facility set in Lahai-Roi of Wuthering Waves. Learn more about this scientific metropolis, its connection to Rover and Chisa, and its location here!

What is Startorch Academy?
Facility of Science and Research
Startorch Academy is Lahai-Roi's most renowned research facility, founded to cultivate both scientific mastery and scholarly pursuit. As a multinational haven for learning, it gathers students and Resonators from the different regions of Solaris, all drawn by its promise of discovery and legacy of brilliance.
In one of the scenes, the Frequency Storage Cassette Tape shown by Galbrena previously, is introduced to be a product developed by the facility.
A Haven for Resonators
The Academy stands as a haven for Resonators, as students like Chisa, who were discriminated against in their hometowns for the powers they bear, can thrive within its grounds without fear.
Concepts like Overclocking, which is normally frowned upon by Solaris' inhabitants due to its destructive nature, are viewed as natural occurrences and has been researched by its people as an opportunity for Resonators to grow with positivity instead of fear.
Chisa and Rover's Former School
During the Segue Quest Flowing Starlight in the Iris, it is revealed that Rover is a former student of the academy and a well-known figure among his peers. Chisa, meanwhile, is disclosed to have been a first-year Engineering student twenty years prior.
Pulled into the Chronorift Metropolis during the Void Storm, she spent what felt like two months trapped within the loop, while the outside world continued advancing at a far faster pace.
Isolated from the World by the Void Storm
Startorch Academy is currently known to be isolated from the world due to the Void Storm occurrences in Lahai-Roi. There is currently no known way for people to travel to the area by normal means.
Due to the connections of both Startorch Academy and the Black Shores to the Chronorift Metropolis, however, rifts from both locations had opened up within the Sonoro Sphere, allowing for travel between the two locations.
Established by the Spacetrek Collective
Startorch Academy was founded by the Spacetrek Collective. It is one of the two major institutions that the organization built in Lahai-Roi to pursue knowledge about the cosmos, Tacet Discords, and the Void Storm.

Rover's Next Destination
With the events of 2.8 and the conclusion of the Segue Quest, Flowing Starlight in the Iris, Rover's next destination is known to be Startorch Academy. The developments in the Chronorift Metropolis have set Shorekeeper in preparation for Rover's departure, as the academy has a strict protocol for people entering the facility.
This is likely to be the setting for the next major update in Wuthering Waves, and is potentially the bridge for Rover to reach the region of Lahai-Roi.

Located in the Lahai-Roi Region
Startorch Academy is set in the Lahai-Roi region. It is a well-known scientific facility across Solaris and is a prime destination for various Resonators from different regions.
Currently, Lahai-Roi is closed off from the rest of the world due to the increasing dangers of the Void Storm. With the developments in 2.8, however, this region is Rover's next destination, as a rift to the location had appeared in the Chronorift Metropolis Sonoro Sphere in the Flowing Starlight in the Iris Quest.

Two characters are known to share significant ties with Startorch Academy. Chisa was a first year Engineering student and part of the Tactical Development program twenty years ago, before being pulled in by the Honami Sonoro Sphere.
Rover, on the other hand, is a well-known figure among their peers, having been an older student than Chisa during her time in the academy and long before the events of the Main Story.
Startorch Academy Facilities
Voidwatch Tower
The Academy’s Voidwatch Tower is likely the region’s leading facility for monitoring Lahai-Roi’s unique phenomenon, the Void Storm. Staff, and perhaps students, working within the facility may have access to records of past storms, offering valuable insight into this destructive anomaly.
Exo Genesis Labs
Based on the facility’s name, ‘Exo’ suggests outside or beyond, while ‘Genesis’ typically refers to beginnings or origins. One can therefore speculate that the Exo Genesis Labs is a research center dedicated to studying life or phenomena found outside the world of Solaris.
Simulator Cockpit
The Simulator Cockpit may be the place where staff and students alike test the possibilities and limits of the region's spacecraft. Hints suggest that the Lahai-Roi’s ultimate goal is to “return” to the cosmos, and this facility may play a crucial role in making that possible.
Tactical Proving Grounds
The Tactical Proving Grounds can be the Academy's testing grounds for Tacet Discords and their abilities. It could also be a controlled arena where worthy Resonators can engage in combat training.
