Wuthering Waves introduced a way to clear some assets from past patches that allows you to save storage. Learn how to save storage, how much storage was saved, and more!

How to Save Storage

Clear Patches From the Login Screen

1 - Go to Tools
2 - Clear Patches
Tools → Clear Patches

To save some space, you can opt to Clear some Patch Data from the Wuthering Waves Login Screen. This effectively remove some assets that you will likely not use anymore from other regions.

Minimal Size Reduction

From our checks, the reduction is not much, totalling to around 2GB of saved space.

In one of our PC's, the 135GB Wuthering Waves directory was shaved down to 133GB.

Works on Mobile and PS5 As Well

Social media reports from multiple people are saying it works on Mobile and PS5, as well as reporting variety in the actual storage saved.

Downloads A New Patch Afterwards

Note that after clearing patches, Wuthering Waves will download a new patch. Make sure you have internet connection for the rest of the process!

Does Clearing Patches Affect The Save File?

No, It Does Not Affect Save File

From our testing, your save file is not affected at all when clearing patches to save storage. We highly suggest doing this to save some space on our device.
