| General Gameplay Loop | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Place or upgrade cards in the Deployment Zone during the Preparation Phase. |
| 2 | Initiate the Battle Phase and watch your Echoes auto-battle your opponent's! |
| 3 | Echoes that survive will deal combined Damage (DMG) to a duelist's HP. |
| 4 | Loop back to another Preparation and Battle Phase until a Duelist's HP is reduced to 0, or the player with higher HP after 8 rounds wins. |
A duel lasts 8 rounds, each divided into two phases: Preparation and Battle. In the Preparation Phase, both players place up to 6 Echo Cards on the board.
During the Battle Phase, these Echoes clash, and any that survive will deal their combined DMG directly to the opposing Duelist’s HP. The match ends if a Duelist’s HP reaches zero, or the player with higher HP after 8 rounds is declared the winner.

A legal Echo Deck consists of 21 Echo Cards: 1 Core Echo and 20 Normal Echoes. When building your deck, it's crucial to consider not only your opponent's cards, but also your Core Echo’s attribute and unlock conditions to ensure optimal synergy and performance.
If you'd like a more plug-n-play style of deck building, you may also select the Quick Build option to automatically construct a deck that corresponds to your chosen attribute!

Every Echo Card's stats are displayed on their cards and are made up of the following information:
Once you're familiar with these stats, aim to build a well-balanced deck where each card complements one another's abilities and strengthens your Core Echo's potential.

A Core Echo is the strongest card in your deck, hence why only one is allowed per build. These special Echoes boast high stats and require specific conditions to be met before entering battle.
To maximize their impact, your deck should be built around supporting their abilities and accelerating their deployment, or synergize well with their Trial.

Prestige Points can be earned as you win Duels and progress through the event. You can use these points to unlock new cards which you can add to your deck to make it stronger, or spend them on upgrades to give your card a new cosmetic frame!
| Element | Best Counter Playstyle |
|---|---|
|
A fast-paced Spectro deck can work well against a slower Glacio deck by accelerating Fallacy of No Return's deployment and amplifying its power. Your Main Echo's AoE attacks and moderate Attack Speed make it especially effective against a squishier Core Echo like Sentry Construct, allowing you to win rounds and negate its potential burst damage. |
|
|
Aero decks could stand its ground against the powerful attacks of a Fusion-centric deck, with its ability to mitigate your Echoes' damage taken and further increasing their survivability with a health gain per second. |
|
|
A Spectro deck can effectively counter an Electro deck with its superior speed, allowing you to outpace the slower setup and eliminate key Echoes before the Electro deck can deploy its Core Echo and activate team-wide buffs. |
|
An Electro deck could work against an Aero deck, as its Crit Rate and Special Skill stack make your team strong enough to burn through an Aero deck's mitigation capabilities. |
|
Despite its risky playstyle, a Havoc deck can perform well against a Spectro deck, as a Spectro deck will focus on fast-tracking its Main Echo. A Havoc deck can take advantage of this by affording to lose a few rounds, but coming back stronger once its Hecate is deployed. |
|
Havoc decks can be countered by a similarly high-risk Fusion-centric deck, which can turn an early HP loss into an advantage by fast-tracking Inferno Rider’s deployment while also negating Hecate's Trial. Once your Core Echo is out, it can win rounds quickly, allowing you to deal heavy damage to the opposing duelist before their Main Echo is deployed. |
The above matchups are only recommendations, as there is no definitive element that can fully counter another.
Each element is led by a Core Echo that favors a specific playstyle, and can determine the specialty of every card that shares the same attribute.
While some elements can counter better over others, note that any deck can still prevail with the right luck and strategy. Success will ultimately depend on drawing the right cards, equipping the proper utility cards to help draw cards often, the Resonator Tactic you choose, and how effectively you play your Echo cards against your opponent!

Spend Energy to place up to 4 Echo Cards on the Deployment Zone parallel to your opponent's. Energy will be replenished after every battle phase, allowing you to deploy more Echoes during the next preparation phase if you still have slots open.
Keep in mind that those placed on the left side will serve as your frontline cards, while those placed on the right will be your backliners during the battle phase.

After positioning your Echoes on the Deployment Zone, initiate the battle phase by deploying them onto the battlefield. During this phase, Echoes will auto-battle, trading blows within a time limit.
At the end, surviving Echoes will deal damage to their opponent Duelist based on the combined Damage (DMG) stats of those remaining units.
If your initial tactics fall short, turn the tide with advanced strategies like Modulation, Transformation, and Reconstruction to enhance your Echo Cards and gain the upper hand in battle!

Modulation allows you to power up an Echo by fusing it with another. To initiate, select a card from your hand (Card A) and fuse it with an Echo in the Deployment Zone (Card B). Card A will replace Card B on the field, combining both cards’ stats, while inheriting and automatically activating Card B’s special skill.
Note that Echoes can only be Modulated twice, and Modulation must begin with a 1-Cost Echo. To Modulate into a 3-Cost Echo, it must be placed onto a previously Modulated 1-Cost Echo.

Some cards come with the ability to Transform. By spending their Energy Cost and placing them into the Transform Area, you can activate their effects. These cards are often more valuable when transformed than when deployed on the battlefield!

Reconstructing a Card from your hand or the Deployment Zone allows you to recycle an Echo to regain 1 Energy. The card is then shuffled back into your draw pile, making it available for future preparation phases. Use this tactic when you're low on Energy and need to summon a stronger Echo.

Resonator Tactics will become available to you as the event is progressed. There a total of 6 Resonator Tactics to unlock, each coming with Active and Passive abilities you can utilize in your battles.
An Active Tactic requires Energy to activate during the Preparation Phase, while a Passive Tactic is automatically applied when certain conditions are met.

Raising your Duelist Level unlocks new features such as deck-building, additional rewards, and extra Endless Challenge levels; the latter of which can be used as a stepping stone to gain even more levels and unlock greater prizes!
