There are four featured bosses in the current iteration of Doubled Pawns Matrix. These are, namely, Feilian Beringal, Sentry Construct, Impermanence Heron, and Hyvatia.
After defeating all enemies in a round, the same set of enemies will respawn in the same order, albeit having much more HP and DMG.

|---|---|---|
Feilian Beringal
|
Attribute RES |
|
| Main Mechanics | Tune Break | |
| Viral Infection | ||
|
Stability Accords: For 15s after defeating Feilian Beringal, all Resonators in the team are immune to damage. Singularity Expansion: - All Stability Accords Mechanics - DMG received by Feilian Beringal is reduced by 20%. When Feilian Beringal is hit by Tune Break, DMG received by Feilian Beringal is increased by 12.5% till the end of the battle, stacking up to 4 times. |
||
| Round 2 Onwards - Additional Infections | ||
|
- Feilian Beringal's behavior changes. After attacking, it can summon Hoochiefs for follow-up attacks. - After being hit by Tune Break, Feilian Beringal cannot summon Hoochiefs for 15s. | ||
Feilian Beringal in Singularity Expansion is highly durable due to the Viral Infection it receives. It takes significantly reduced DMG from all sources, making it a tall wall for most players. Combat this by equipping Mornye in the third slot alongside any general DPS and sub-DPS composition to debuff the boss.
From Round 2 onwards, Feilian Beringal receives additional infections. Avoid taking as many of its attacks as possible by dodging, as it will summon Hoochiefs to deal follow-up attacks whenever it hits you. For this boss, make use of Tune Break as frequently as possible per rotation before outputting your main damage combos.
Dealing with the Beringal is easier in Stability Accords, since there's no infection that requires Tune Break. You can freely replace Mornye with other Healer-Supports like Shorekeeper or Verina since we do not need to have increased Tune Break gauge fill efficiency.

|---|---|---|
Sentry Construct
|
Attribute RES |
|
| Main Mechanics |
Negative Status
Tunability - Shifting |
|
| Viral Infection | ||
|
Stability Accords: For 15s after defeating Sentry Construct, all Resonators in the team are immune to damage. Singularity Expansion: - All Stability Accords Mechanics - Vibration Strength Reduction taken by Sentry Construct is reduced by 25%. When Sentry Construct is in mid-air, it deals 30% more DMG. If it's affected by Negative Statuses or Tunability - Shifting, Resonators' Vibration Strength Reduction Rate is increased by 50%. |
||
| Round 2 Onwards - Additional Infections | ||
| - Sentry Construct's ATK is increased by 3% every 5s, stacking up to 10 times. Immobilizing it clears all stacks and pauses the stacking. | ||
Sentry Construct mainly attacks in the air and is a bit challenging to fight against because of it. Time your attacks and parry Sentry Construct to ground it. From there, use your damaging combos as much as possible.
If Sentry Construct is on the ground and charging, use the grapple point above its head and do a plunge attack to cancel it from charging its Vibration Strength. Another thing to note is that starting Round 2, its ATK will increase quite a bit. Immobilize it to remove the additional ATK stats.
The Sentry Construct is highly susceptible to Shifting Effects and Tune Break due to its Viral Infection. As such, the best characters to use are ones that improve upon this mechanic, namely 3.x characters that boost the Off-Tune Buildup Rate and boost Tune Break DMG.
| Boss Details | ||
|---|---|---|
Impermanence Heron
|
Attribute RES |
|
| Main Mechanics | HP Above 50% | |
| Viral Infection | ||
|
Stability Accords: For 15s after defeating Impermanence Heron, all Resonators in the team are immune to damage. Singularity Expansion: - All Stability Accords Mechanics - When Impermanence Heron hits a Resonator, the Resonator loses 3% of Max HP per second for 6s when they are on the field. This effect cannot reduce HP to 0. - When the Resonator's HP is above 50%, Impermanence Heron takes 10% more total DMG. |
||
| Round 2 Onwards - Additional Infections | ||
| - When Impermanence Heron hits a Resonator, the Resonator loses 4% of Max HP per second for 6s when they are on the field, and 2% of Max HP per second for 6s off the field. This effect cannot reduce HP to 0. | ||
The third boss is the Impermanence Heron, which reduces your characters' HP bars over time while you fight it. We suggest having strong dedicated healers for this team that can consistently heal you even while off-field. Try saving Shorekeeper and Mornye for this boss, if you have them!
Starting Round 2, the HP reduction mechanic becomes even stronger and will affect even your off-field Resonators. Ensure to heal up as much as possible to avoid untimely deaths.
Impermanence Heron takes more damage from Resonators that have their HP bars above 50%. Try to maintain your health by having healers on the team and staying on the fields generated by them.
| Boss Details | ||
|---|---|---|
Hyvatia
|
Attribute RES |
|
| Main Mechanics |
Counterattack
Tune Rupture |
|
| Viral Infection | ||
|
Stability Accords: For 15s after defeating Hyvatia, all Resonators in the team are immune to damage. Singularity Expansion: - All Stability Accords Mechanics - Vibration Strength Reduction taken by Hyvatia is reduced by 25%. When Hyvatia is in mid-air, the Vibration Strength Reduction it takes is increased by 50%. - When a Resonator successfully triggers a Counterattack, Hyvatia builds up 30% of its Max Off-Tune Level. This effect has a 20s cooldown. - When Hyvatia takes Tune Rupture DMG, its Vibration Strength is reduced by 8%. This effect has a 5s cooldown. |
||
| Round 2 Onwards - Additional Infections | ||
| - Hyvatia's Immobilization duration is reduced by 20%. | ||
Hyvatia is the last boss for each round, and is a bit more challenging to deal with. It will go up in the air and deal aerial attacks. To combat this, wait to parry to effectively reduce its Vibration Strength and ground it. Make sure to do counterattacks to build up her Off-Tune Level faster.
Hyvatia's Vibration Strength is reduced even further when she takes Tune Rupture DMG. Choose Resonators that respond to this mechanic to deal with the boss better. Take note that starting Round 2, Hyvatia's Immobilization period is reduced quite significantly.
Tune Break: Tune Rupture Explained
When against Hyvatia in Stability Accords, you don't have to focus much on Tune Rupture. Simply defeat the opponent how you normally would using the enhancements available!

General Enhancement Enemies take 20% more total DMG and 20% more total DMG from Basic Attack. |
|
| DMG Type | DMG Type II |
| Basic Attack | - |
Just as its name suggests, the General Enhancement provides standard and straightforward buffs by increasing the damage taken by enemies and increasing the damage of Basic Attacks.
This is not to be confused with Basic Attack DMG, as the Power Circuit enhancement mainly increases the DMG from any characters' basic attacks.

The best general teams are the Mono Fusion composition and Camellya's Basic Attack Havoc team. They benefit the most due to their straightforward playstyle of being on-field, and all Resonators will be benefitting from the buff, so quickswapping can also be viable.

Enhancement: Negative Status When enemies are inflicted with Negative Statuses, they take 20% more total DMG for 30s. When enemies are inflicted with Fusion Burst, they take 30% more total DMG. |
|
| DMG Type | DMG Type II |
| Fusion Burst | - |
For this iteration of Doubled Pawns Matrix, the premier Negative Status is Fusion Burst. As of Version 3.1, only Aemeath can apply this debuff onto enemies, and it isn't even her strongest form, as she also dominates the meta with Tune Rupture.
Use this for Negative Status teams like Cartethyia's Aero Erosion comp, and Zani or Phoebe's Spectro Frazzle teams.

Currently, only Aero Erosion and Spectro Frazzle are the two Negative Statuses that have complete teams. Use the Power Circuit enhancement to boost their damage and clear the bosses better.

Enhancement: Echo Skill Echo Skill total DMG is increased by 20%. Fusion total DMG is increased by 20%. Heavy Attack total DMG is increased by 20%. |

| DMG Type | DMG Type II |
| Fusion | Heavy Attack |
In this cycle of Doubled Pawns Matrix, the Echo Skill enhancement is highly centered towards Fusion DMG and Heavy Attack DMG. This means that Galbrena benefits the most from this buff, although you can still use Phrolova's teams with decent success.

Galbrena's team is highly boosted in this cycle. Aside from being a strong Echo Skill DMG dealer, her Fusion DMG and Heavy Attack DMG both get a significant increase. Use this composition to clear the rounds faster!
Alternatively, you can use Heavy Attack-based teams like Augusta or Jiyan's due to them still benefitting from the effect. Do take note to avoid using Jiyan against Feilian Beringal.

Enhancement: Tune Break When enemies are affected by Tune Rupture - Shifting or Tune Rupture - Interfered, they take 20% more total DMG. Enemies take 200% more Tune Rupture DMG. When enemies are affected by Tune Strain - Shifting or Tune Strain - Interfered, they take 50% more total DMG. |
|
| DMG Type | DMG Type II |
| Tune Rupture | Tune Strain |
The Enhancement: Tune Break is significantly beneficial for teams that can utilize either of the Shifting Effects of Tune Break. Both the featured characters in 3.1 highlights the two Tune Break - Shifting effects, with Aemeath excelling at Tune Rupture, while Luuk Herssen revolves around Tune Strain.

| Any Non-Negative Status DPS |
One of the best teams with this buff is Aemeath in her Tune Rupture mode alongside Lynae and Mornye. She benefits the most from the Power Circuit enhancement and will single-handedly carry most players in this gamemode. However, you can use any DPS with Lynae and Mornye, as they will still benefit from the buff.
Alternatively, Luuk Herssen is the premier Tune Strain applicator and DPS of the mechanic. He benefits a lot with the Enhancement and is in contention with Aemeath for Lynae and Mornye as their best teammates. Unlike Aemeath, however, Luuk can be paired with Sanhua and Shorekeeper for a hypercarry team.
