Off-Tune Mechanic is a new combat mechanic that will be released in Wuthering Waves 3.0. See what Off-Tune Mechanic does, how to apply the Mistuned state, what Tune Breaks and Shifting Effects are and more here!
List of Contents

The Off-Tune Mechanic allows your Resonators to build off multiple attacks and fill the enemy's Off-Tune Level, causing them to be Mistuned and be vulnerable to more damage with a Tune Break.

You must be able to constantly attack your enemies to build their Off-Tune gauge, which is located on the left side of the active enemy's HP bar. Filling this gauge up fully will cause the enemy to be Mistuned, allowing you to apply Tune Break against them.

As revealed in the 3.0 Livestream, you can take advantage of enemies, particularly bosses, that have a dangerous Red Glow attack that will temporarily put them in a Mistuned state for a very short time after executing it.
This will potentially allow you to instantly counter via a Tune Break Skill and interrupt their attack, dealing more damage in the process.

Once Tune Break is applied to the enemy, they will reset their Off-Tune Level and you will have to wait for a short while before the gauge can be filled again.
When the gauge finishes its cooldown, your strikes can refill the Off-Tune gauge again, allowing you to repeat the process and put the enemy in a Mistuned state once more.

Tune Break and Tune Break Skills reduce the enemy's Vibration Strength and staggers them temporarily, which allows you to deal more damage with other attacks. This strike can only be applied once the enemy is Mistuned.
The enemy will then reset their Off-Tune Level after applying Tune Break, so make sure to take advantage of the enemy's momentary weakness.
Use your Resonator's strongest attacks while the enemy is in a weakened state after applying Tune Break to deal more damage against them!

While you are building up the enemy's Off-Tune Level, you can inflict different Shifting Effects and apply the Shifting state to them.
Only one of these Shifting Effects can occur at any given time and inflicting another will cause the former effect to be removed.

Enemies hit with Tune Break while affected with Shifting will enter the Interfered state, allowing your Resonators to apply buffs to themselves and deal more damage to enemies depending on the active Shifting Effect.
All Resonators will react to one specific Shifting Effect, which means you must build a team that has similar Shifting Effects in their kit.
It has been noted in the Version 3.0 livestream that past Resonators will also have their unique tuning, so this mechanic will affect all characters in-game.

Tune Rupture allows Resonators that can react to this Shifting Effect to unleash one special attack on the target while they are in the Interfered state. Each Resonator's Special Attack has a cooldown that is calculated separately per target.

Tune Strain allows Resonators that can react to this Shifting Effect to deal additional damage to the target while Interfered. This damage increases if more resonators who react to Tune Strain are in your team.
