Ashinohara is known to be the region of Chisa's birthplace, with her hometown being depicted as a highly urbanized area where people live ordinary lives in bustling, metropolis-like districts.
Beneath this polished exterior, however, lies a society deeply afraid of the unknown. Resonators are viewed with resentment, their abilities stirring fear and distrust among the common populace.

In Ashinohara, Resonators are deeply feared by the general populace and are often ostracized for their abilities. Young Resonators, especially those like Chisa who have yet to fully control their powers, are placed under strict supervision and forced to wear collar devices. These neck pieces function both as regulators for their abilities and as visible markers that set them apart from ordinary citizens.
During her time in her hometown, Chisa faced severe bullying in her local school. Many classmates treated her with hostility, and rumors about her being a Resonator spread quickly. Even outside school grounds, whispers followed her. To many, she was viewed as a walking hazard, especially in crowded public transport.

Chisa describes Ashinohara as a solitary island, walled off on all sides. This can be interpreted both metaphorically and literally. In the figurative sense, it reflects the society’s closed-off mindset—its fear of the unknown and its rigid adherence to familiar ways of life, one that Chisa admits she shared once.
In the literal sense, her words may also suggest that Ashinohara exists as an isolated nation, cut off from broader contact with the rest of Solaris.

Honami City, at least prior to the events of the Lament, is hinted to be a part of Ashinohara. During the Flowing Starlight in the Iris quest, Chisa notes its resemblance to her hometown, recalling how the surrounding buildings and infrastructure mirror those of her own neighborhood.
She also mentions that her hometown was established next to the exact Tacet Field generated when Honami turned into a Sonoro Sphere, briefly teasing where it is situated.

Ashinohara is likely a region inspired by Japan, with many elements mirroring its real-world counterpart. To mention a few, Neon Tower bears a close resemblance to the Tokyo Tower, its transit systems and infrastructure echo that of Japan's highly developed railway systems, and its culture is reflected in the local attire.
There is currently no information regarding Ashinohara's location in the world of Solaris. It is currently only mentioned in snippets with Chisa's hometown and teased in the explorable area of Chronorift Metropolis.
