| Strengths | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
• Flexible Sub-DPS Support. Can be played on Mono Havoc for Sustain or Quick-Swap for Coordinated Attacks • Can provide heals through basic and enhanced Forte Circuits • Provides good off-field damage with her jellyfish Coordinated attacks • Great for world exploration. Can swim quickly and drains less stamina in water • Excels as a Sub-DPS in Echo Skill teams |
|||
| Weaknesses | |||
|
• Significant difference in potential depending on weapon used • Her teams are quite niche, so you will need to invest in multiple premium units |
Cantarella is a flexible Havoc character that can be played as a sub-DPS support with her healing capabilities that provide sustain to teams. Her kit revolves around Echo Skills, as both her Resonance Skill and Liberation are considered Echo Skill casts.
Cantarella is Phrolova's best Sub-DPS due to her kit having multiple Echo Skills that trigger Hecate's attacks. Her unique playstyle greatly enhances this niche team and is essential to be competitive with other comps.
While she shares sub-par performance on other teams, her kit highly fits and is necessary for Echo Skill teams.

As Cantarella is a flexible unit, she benefits from using either the Midnight Veil or the Empyrean Anthem echo sets the most depending on how she is intended to be used. With Midnight Veil, she can run on Havoc teams as it improves both Cantarella and another Resonator's Havoc DMG leading to decent overall DPS.
Cantarella is built like most Sub-DPS units, ideally having a good Crit. ratio while also having as much of her Attribute and DMG Bonus as possible. Get both 3-cost echoes as Havoc DMG, and roll for Basic Attack DMG Bonus and ATK%.

Using Empyrean Anthem provides the utility in other teams that rely on Coordinated Attacks to maximize overall damage. This will usually be the first choice if the team is not scaling off Havoc DMG but can utilize the Resonance Skill DMG Amplification of her Outro Skill.
You will have to focus on getting enough Crit Rate though with the Empyrean build, estimated at around 70% Crit Rate to reliably proc the effects of Empyrean Anthem. If you don't like building for Crits, you may always use Moonlit Clouds as a replacement.
| Main Echo | Explanation |
|---|---|
|
|
・Passively increases Cantarella's Havoc DMG Bonus and Basic Attack DMG Bonus. ・Best-in-slot Echo for Cantarella as a unit. |
|
|
・Provides significant increase in Coordinated Attack damage which works extremely well with Cantarella's Ultimate. ・Deals Havoc damage around Cantarella, dealing extra damage while not taking up time in casting. ・Great option for Coordinated Attack-oriented build. |
|
|
・Decent echo choice for Cantarella as a Sub-DPS. ・Maximizes her outro skill buffs for the next resonator on the field. |
| Echo Set | Rating |

|
(5-pc) |
★★★ - Best Midnight Veil is the best-in-slot 5-pc echo set for Cantarella as it deals decent Havoc DMG while boosting the next Resonator's Havoc DMG Bonus. We recommend getting Lorelei as she provides Cantarella with extra Havoc DMG Bonus and Basic Attack DMG Bonus, which she both scales off. Recommended Main Echo: |
|
(5-pc) |
★★☆ - 2nd Best Empyrean Anthem is also a good option for Cantarella as it maximizes her Coordinated Attacks to deal as much damage as possible while also increasing the active Resonator's ATK. Hecate as the main echo provides further Coordinated Attack DMG Bonus, making it a decent option for Cantarella. Recommended Main Echo: |
|
(5-pc) |
★☆☆ - 3rd Best This set improves upon Cantarella as a Sub-DPS as it increases the next Resonator's ATK and damage dealt with Impermanence Heron. However, Cantarella benefits more from the first two sets, making this an early option that can be swapped later on. Recommended Main Echo: |
List of All Echoes and Sonata Effects

From the Deep Increases ATK by 12%. Casting Echo Skill within 10s after casting Intro Skill or basic Attack grants 1 stack of Gentle Dream. Echoes with the same name can only trigger this effect once, stacking up to 2 times, lasting for 10s. |
| 2 |
|
Panorama Increases ATK by 12%. Using Resonance Skill gives the equipped Resonator 12% Basic Attack DMG Bonus for 6s, stacking up to 3 times. When casting Outro Skill with 3 stacks, consume all stacks to give 52% DMG Bonus to the off-field Basic Attacks performed by the equipped Resonator, lasting for 27s. |
| 3 |
|
Electric Amplification Increases the DMG Bonus by 12%. When dealing Resonance Skill DMG, increases ATK by 12%, stacking up to 2. This effect lasts for 5s. When the equipped Resonator is not on the field, increases their ATK by an additional 12%. |
| 4 |
|
Stormy Resolution Increases Energy Regen by 12.8%. When dealing Basic Attack DMG, increases Basic Attack DMG Bonus by 3.2%, stacking up to 5 time(s). This effect lasts for 8s and can be triggered 1 time(s) every 0.5s. |
| 5 |
|
Forgiving Resilience When Resonance Liberation is cast, increases the caster's ATK by 15%, lasting for 15s. |
| 6 |
|
Intergalactic Gaze Casting the Resonance Skill grants 6 Resonance Energy and increases ATK by 10% lasting for 16s. This effect can be triggered once every 20s. |
Whispers of Sirens is undoubtedly Cantarella's best-in-slot weapon as it maximizes her Echo Skill casts and provides her with multiple buffs that she greatly benefits from.
Other 5-star alternatives can be quite beneficial, however, such as Rime-Draped Sprouts, Stringmaster, and even Cosmic Ripples with its Basic Attack DMG bonus.
As for 4-star options, there is a significant difference in her overall potential as there are not many good options available that she notably benefits from. Fusion Accretion and Jinzhou Keeper give her ATK buffs, while the BP weapon, Augment, provides Crit. Rate and an ATK bonus which she may benefit from.

You may opt to use Midnight Veil as a 2-pc option for Phrolova since it also provides Havoc DMG Bonus.
Cantarella is best played in a Mono Havoc Echo Skill-focused team that maximizes her unique abilities. She works the best with Phrolova and Roccia, providing a balanced team with all team members dealing damage and receiving buffs from each other.
Cantarella also acts as the sustain support of the team, getting ample time with her on-field rotations to heal the team.
| 1 | Initiate battle with Phrolova and generate six Volatile Notes with her combos to cast Scarlet Coda. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Afterwards, activate her Liberation to enter the Maestro state and control Hecate. |
| 3 | Switch to Roccia while in the Maestro state, using Phrolova's Outro to buff her Havoc DMG and Heavy Attack DMG. |
| 4 | With Roccia on-field, maximize her Imagination stacks to execute three Plunge Attacks and generate Concerto. Cast her Liberation to provide a party-wide ATK buff then switch to Cantarella once her Outro is ready. |
| 5 | Next, get 1 Trance stack from Cantarella's Basic Attack stage 3. Follow this with Resonance Skill, Graceful Step and Liberation, Beneath the Sea, to gain max Trance stacks. |
| 6 | Then, do a Heavy attack to enter her Mirage state. Cast Resonance Skill, Flickering Reverie, to put enemies in Hazy Dream. This is followed by her 3-stage basic attack combo (Phantom Sting) to gain 3 Shiver stacks. |
| 7 | Lastly, use Resonance Skill, Perception Drain to use all Shiver stacks and put enemies in the Hazy Dream state, suspending enemies in the air. Once her Outro is available, switch to Phrolova to buff her Havoc and Resonance Skill DMG. |
| 8 | You may repeat steps 1 through 7 as Hecate performs its attacks off-field. Echo Skills empower its attacks, so cast them with Roccia and Cantarella when possible. |

| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
| | Main DPS Replacement Rover (Havoc) can be an alternative DPS option if you don't have Camellya as they benefit from Cantarella and Roccia's buffs during their uptime. |
| | Support Replacement Instead of a second Sub-DPS, Shorekeeper can be used as a support to increase the entire team's damage. |
| | Support Replacement Similar to Shorekeeper, Verina can provide extra support through her healing and damage amplification, while also providing Coordinated attacks. |
Cantarella can work in Camellya's Mono Havoc team due to her flexible role of being a sub-DPS and a support. She provides Havoc DMG amplification and buffs to Resonance Skill DMG, which will be additional DPS boosts to Roccia and overall team damage potential.
| 1 | Initiate combat with Cantarella and get 1 Trance stack from her Basic Attack stage 3. Follow this with Resonance Skill, Graceful Step and Liberation, Beneath the Sea, to gain max Trance stacks. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Do a Heavy attack to enter her Mirage state. Cast Resonance Skill, Flickering Reverie, to put enemies in Hazy Dream. This is followed by her 3-stage basic attack combo (Phantom Sting) to gain 3 Shiver stacks. |
| 3 | Use Resonance Skill, Perception Drain to use all Shiver stacks and put enemies in the Hazy Dream state, suspending enemies in the air. With her filled Concerto gauge, swap to Roccia to utilize Cantarella's Havoc DMG amplification. |
| 4 | With Roccia entering combat through her Intro Skill, do her optimal combo and fill up her Concerto gauge. Cast Echo Skill and Resonance Liberation before swapping to Camellya to buff the team's ATK. |
| 5 | Do Camellya's optimal combos by entering her Blossom Mode. Maximize Cantarella's and Roccia's buffs as it gets funneled to her. Cantarella's Coordinated attacks will also be dealing decent damage off-field. |
| 6 | Repeat until all enemies are defeated. |

| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
| | Main DPS Replacement Carlotta is a DPS unit that also benefits from having her Resonance Skill buffed and from Coordinated Attacks, which Cantarella both provides. |
| | Support Replacement Instead of Verina, Shorekeeper can be used to increase Attribute DMG and Crit. of all team members. |
Cantarella is an excellent Havoc Sub-DPS to Jinhsi as she provides Resonance Skill DMG amplification and Coordinated Attacks while off-field. She significantly helps Jinhsi accumulate Incandescence with her Resonance Liberation, Beneath the Sea, increasing Jinhsi's overall damage potential.
Because Jinhsi is a Spectro Unit, she won't be able to maximize the buffs provided by Midnight Veil. For this purpose, you need to switch Cantarella's Echo set into a 5-piece Empyrean Anthem and build her with enough Crit Rate to increase the reliability of the buffs.
| 1 | Start combat with Verina and do her optimal combos. Maximize her internal rotation and provide Coordinated Attack damage through her Liberation. Once her Concerto gauge is filled, swap to Cantarella. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Cantarella enters combat with her Intro Skill, gaining 1 Trance stack. Casting Resonance Skill and Resonance Liberation, gain max Trance stacks. |
| 3 | Do a Heavy attack to enter Mirage, and cast her enhanced Resonance Skill to put enemies in Hazy Dream. Then, do her enhanced basic attack combo to gain max Shiver stacks. |
| 4 | Deplete max Shiver stacks to put enemies in Hazy Dream and swap to Jinhsi with Cantarella's Outro Skill to get the Resonance Skill DMG increase. |
| 5 | Once Jinhsi enters, use her Overflowing Radiance Resonance Skill and activate Resonance Skill once again. Generate as much Incandescence and enter the Incarnation state. |
| 6 | During Incarnation, do Jinhsi's Basic Attack combos then cast Resonance Skill, Illuminous Epiphany. |
| 7 | Exit the field using Unison, and swap once again to Verina. |
| 8 | Repeat until all enemies have been defeated. |
| Cantarella Gameplay Guide |
|---|
|
|
| ① | Open with her Intro Skill, followed by her Resonance Skill and Resonance Liberation to get Max Trance stacks. |
|---|---|
| ② | Cast Heavy Attack - Delusion Dive to enter her Mirage state. Once in Mirage, cast Resonance Skill, Flickering Reverie to suspend enemies in the air. |
| ③ | Do a 3-stage basic attack combo (Phantom Sting) into Resonance Skill, Perception Drain. |
| ④ | Once her combo is finished, ensure that you have enough Concerto Energy to activate her Outro Skill to buff the next Resonator's Havoc DMG and Resonance Skill DMG. |
Cantarella's Forte Circuit, Abyssal Rebirth, allows her to swim quickly in water while consuming lesser STA than other resonators.
This makes her a great unit in world exploration as she can potentially combine this with Flight, making traversal in Rinascita quite easy to do.
| Cantarella Trance Stacks | |
|---|---|
| Trance Stacks with Skills |
Trance Stacks Up Close |
Cantarella's Trance stacks transform her kit when she is in Mirage. She can hold up to 5 stacks, and each stack can be gained through her skills and attacks.
| Trance Stack Generation | |
|---|---|
| Intro Skill Resonance Skill Basic Attack 3 |
1 Trance Stack |
| Resonance Liberation | 3 Trance Stacks |
To generate max stacks quickly, start with engaging combat through her Intro Skill or with a quick Basic Attack Combo (make sure Basic Attack 3 connects to an enemy). Next, follow this up with her Resonance Skill.
Lastly, activate Cantarella's Resonance Liberation to easily reach 5 max stacks. This is an efficient way for her to quickly enter her Mirage state and activate her other skills.
Take note that Cantarella can only enter the Mirage state when she has at least 1 Trance stack available, and it can be ended prematurely once Trance is depleted.
Doing a Heavy Attack when she has Trance transforms it to Heavy Attack - Delusive Dive. Delusive Dive will deal Havoc DMG and will cause her to enter the Mirage state.
Once in Mirage, she is able to cast enhanced Resonance Skill, Flickering Reverie to deal decent Havoc DMG. Enemies are also slowed down when this skill is casted, providing enough time for characters to reposition or swap with other team members.
If Cantarella attacks, it will Jolt the enemy, dealing Havoc DMG and removing Hazy Dream.
When Cantarella casts her Resonance Liberation, Beneath the Sea, all Resonators in the team inflict Diffusion.
Diffusion deals Coordinated Attacks against enemies, triggered every second. This is good for dealing extra damage off-field while a DPS unit is in combat.
| Cantarella Shiver Stacks | |
|---|---|
| Shiver Stacks with Skills |
Shiver Stacks Up Close |
When in Mirage, Cantarella's basic attacks are transformed. Each basic attack, plunging attack, and dodge counter gains 1 Shiver stack, while removing 1 Trance stack.
Each Shiver gained heals the party, with Cantarella being able to hold up to 3 Shiver in total.
Once Cantarella gains 3 Shiver stacks, her Resonance Skill is transformed into Forte Circuit - Perception Drain. This deals decent Havoc DMG against enemies, and suspends enemies in Hazy Dream.
This is great for swapping out of combat as it gives enough time for other units to reposition while enemies are in the air.
| Combo |
|---|
| Intro / BA 1-3 → Res. Skill → Liberation → HA (Enter Mirage) → Res. Skill (Flickering Reverie) → BA 1 (Phantom Sting) → BA 2 (Phantom Sting) → BA 3 (Phantom Sting) → Res. Skill (Perception Drain) → Repeat |
Cantarella's Optimal Combo ensures she gets the maximum number of Trance and Shiver Stacks when playing through her kit, dealing decent damage before swapping out.
This is her optimal combo and is good for fast rotations with other resonators as it makes use of her full kit before swapping to the main DPS to utilize her Coordinated Attacks.
| Combo |
|---|
| Intro Skill → Res. Skill → BA 1 → BA 2 → BA 3 → HA (Enter Mirage) → Res. Skill (Flickering Reverie) → BA 1 (Phantom Sting) → BA 2 (Phantom Sting) → BA 3 (Phantom Sting) → Max Shiver → Res. Skill (Perception Drain) |
This combo utilizes her healing capabilities through her Shiver stacks and plays well with fast rotations. Cantarella does not need to get max Trance to fully utilize her healing, and the combo focuses on gaining and using 3 Trance stacks as fast as possible.
This is ideal in quickly healing your team for sustain while dealing some damage before swapping to another Resonator.

| Skill | Priority | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Normal Attack | ★★☆☆☆ | Her normal attacks do not contribute that much to her overall damage as her main kit revolves around her off-field damage and buffing capabilities. Prioritize other skills first. |
| Resonance Skill | ★★★★☆ | Her Resonance Skill provides some damage, making this a good skill to prioritize. Upgrade this after her Forte Circuit and Resonance Liberation. |
| Forte Circuit | ★★★★★ | Her Forte Circuit is one of her main damage sources as most of her kit revolves around this skill. Increasing this improves her damage-dealing and healing capabilities, hence players should prioritize this skill first. |
| Resonance Liberation | ★★★★★ | Cantarella's Coordinated Attack damage scales off her Resonance Liberation. As she adds to the team's overall damage, players should prioritize this skill together with her Forte Circuit. |
| Intro Skill | ★☆☆☆☆ | Her Intro Skill doesn't provide much extra damage to her kit and is mainly used to transition easily into her combos. Prioritize other skills first. |

| Why We Recommend It | |
|---|---|
| S1 | ★★★★☆ - Great Cantarella benefits from the Interruption Resistance that S1 provides, as she is quite vulnerable to attacks when doing her combos. The additional Trance stack will also speed up her internal rotation, and the damage increase for Perception Drain, Flickering Reverie, and Graceful Step add to her overall damage. |
| S2 | ★★★★★ - Amazing The extra AoE crowd control from Resonance Liberation makes combos easier to do while giving her more time to enact her internal rotation. The DMG increase for Jolt is also a significant boost to her kit, making this a great sequence node to get for players. |
| S3 | ★★★☆☆ - Good The DMG increase provided in his Resonance Liberation is only applicable to Flowing Suffocation and does not affect her Coordinated Attack DMG. While this provides a significant increase in her initial cast for her Liberation, her main playstyle is hardly affected as her role as Sub-DPS benefits more from Diffusion. |
| S4 | ★★★☆☆ - Good The Healing Bonus provided by her S4 is pretty good to get due to some of her teams having no dedicated healer. This additional healing provides value to the entire team with the increased survivability of a primarily damage-oriented team. |
| S5 | ★☆☆☆☆ - Mediocre Cantarella's S5 does not offer much value to her kit apart from adding a few Dreamweavers to her Resonance Liberation. We do not recommend pulling for this sequence, as it offers little value alone, unless you want to go for her S6. |
| S6 | ★★★★☆ - Great Her S6 offers great value to her kit as it enhances her multipliers for Basic Attack DMG and gives her a significant DEF penetration to her kit. This is a valuable sequence node that gives her a great boost in damage. |
