・Aero Erosion inflicts Aero DMG on the target at regular intervals as long as it lasts, with more stacks resulting in greater damage.
・Can stack up to 3 times in total. The duration refreshes when a new stack is applied, and all stacks disappear when the duration ends. ・Damage is affected by Resonator Level, enemy resistances, and specialized buffs. Only certain Aero attacks will inflict stackable Aero Erosion on enemies. |
Negative Status Effects Explained
Deals Damage Over Time
Aero Erosion is a negative status effect that deals Aero DMG over time to afflicted targets. The damage scales with the amount of stacks the target has, maxing out at 3 stacks normally.
Aero Erosion Lasts for 15 Seconds
Aero Erosion lasts for 15 seconds at base. Applying a new stack of Aero Erosion will refresh the duration of all active stacks, and all stacks will fall off once the duration ends. The effect deals Aero DMG at an interval of about 2 seconds over its duration.
Can Only be Applied By Certain Skills
Only specific skills that explicitly state that they can apply Aero Erosion will inflict the status. Simply dealing Aero DMG to enemies will not trigger stacks of Aero Erosion.
What Affects Aero Erosion Damage?

Aero Erosion is mostly affected by the level of the Resonator that applied it, as well as how many stacks are active on the target, and what the target's resistances are. Additionally, special buffs such as Ciaccona's Outro Skill can further increase Aero Erosion DMG.
Conversely, the applying Resonator's offensive stats, such as ATK or Aero DMG% Increase, will not affect Aero Erosion DMG.

Ciaccona & Rover Apply Aero Erosion
Both Ciaccona and Aero Rover can apply Aero Erosion, though in different ways. Ciaccona applies it simply whenever she hits targets, while Aero Rover needs to convert applied negative status effects into Aero Erosion.

Aero Rover can Increase Max Erosion Stacks
Aero Rover can increase the stack limit with their Outro Skill, to 6 stacks. This effectively doubles the amount of Aero Erosion stacks that can be applied, with a duration of 30 Seconds.

Cartethyia Deals More Damage to Afflicted Targets
Cartethyia, on the other hand, will do more damage to targets afflicted with Aero Erosion. Pairing her with the previously mentioned Resonators makes for a powerful Aero Erosion team.
