2.5 Release Date, Banners, and Summary
In addition to new stages, several Quality of Life (QoL) updates have been introduced in Dreaming Deep to further enhance the experience of players.
| Change | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Recommended Level | Each node will now have a recommended level that players can use as a basis in gauging if the node is easy to complete or not. This gives players a quick reference if their teams are over or under leveled for that node. |
| Combat Node Auto-Complete | If the current level of your character is 15 levels or above, you can auto-complete Combat Nodes when entering them. This skips the fight entirely and grants you the rewards instantly, saving time during your run. |
| UI Improvements | UI improvements like colored Bond icons, easily readable character previews, and more have been added. This update aims to improve the general feel and look of the game mode for better clarity and understanding. |
| Faster Movement Speed | Rover will now move faster when walking across the map in Dreaming Deep! The further the distance moved, the faster they will go. |
| Campfires are Instant | There is no longer a cut-in when interacting with campfires, and you recover Film Rolls as soon as you enter a campfire tile. |

For your first Film, we recommend using Chixia as your Main Resonator, with Aero Rover for healing and burst damage, and Yangyang for crowd control. You are also free to switch Chixia for Jiyan, if you are able to recruit him, for a more efficient DPS.
Focus on the Model Citizen Bond, as it's shared by most of the Resonators you'll recruit during this Film, allowing you to activate their Synergy Burst faster and benefit from its powerful enhancements.

The recommended team for the Mt. Firmament Inn film is comprised of Jinhsi as the main on-field resonator, supported by Sanhua and Changli. The latter two are acquired naturally as you progress through the film's main events.
Aim to level up the Visitors to Ultrazone Bond as the three activate it together, and further support Jinhsi by levelling the Give Me Wings bond as well as she can trigger it when fighting in her Incandescence state.

For this Film, we recommend building a team with Aalto as the Main Resonator, supported by Aero Rover and Camellya in the Concerto Resonator slots. Aalto provides solid survivability while consistently dealing damage, especially when his Resonance Liberation is active.
When it comes to Bonds, focus on leveling up Psyche Pass as quickly as possible to activate its Synergy Burst early, since it's well-suited to the Resonators available in this Film. You can also invest in the Ordinary Commuter Bond as a secondary option to boost supplementary damage.

For Ragunna’s Visitor, we recommend a team headed by Zani, with Phoebe and Aero Rover in the Concerto Resonator slots. You are also free to switch Aero Rover with Ciaccona if you are aiming for a hypercarry setup.
The best main Bond to benefit Zani will be Dreamscape Requiem, though True Martial Arts is also a good secondary option.

Since you're guaranteed to get Jinhsi in every run, we recommend placing her in your Main Resonator slot. She performs consistently well in Dream Deep, and will be better when supported by Sanhua and Changli.
The Visitors to Ultrazone Bond significantly enhances her abilities, while Give Me Wings is a strong secondary Bond to level, as it boosts Jinhsi's performance while she’s mid-air.

Once you're inside a Film, you’ll explore its script by moving around the board and interacting with various event tiles. The general loop is like so: recruit Resonators, level up your team by taking on Battle Events, Random Events, and Respite Events, and then progress the Main Story once you've hit the recommended level.
The final stage of the Film is marked with a red book icon called Final Challenge. Completing it officially wraps up the Film and unlocks an ending!

| Film Rolls | Effect |
|---|---|
| 70+ Film Rolls | ・Crit. Rate is increased by 20%. ・Casting Resonance Skill recovers 20% of Max HP, effective once every 30s. |
| 30 to 70 Film Rolls | ・Casting Resonance Skill recovers 20% of Max HP, effective once every 30s. |
| -70 to -30 Film Rolls | ・Enemy ATK is increased by 20% |
| Less Than -70 Film Rolls | ・Enemy ATK is increased by 40% and HP is increased by 30% |
Film Rolls basically work like your stamina; They let you move through different events and even make you stronger the more you have. Every time you explore a Random Event, Story Event, or Battle Event tile, you’ll use up some Film Rolls depending on the type.
Make sure to keep an eye on your Film Roll count. Balancing when to use them and when to replenish it will make your run a lot smoother!

If you're running low on Film Rolls, head over to a Respite Event denoted by a Campfire! Here, you'll be able to restore a moderate amount of Film Rolls, and give your teammates a short rest!

Walk into Recruitment Event tiles denoted by two yellow tickets to add Resonators into your roster. The pool of Resonators you may choose from will be randomized each time, each costing 200 Dream Fragments to recruit.
Random Event and Main Story tiles may also introduce a specific Resonator into your team roster for free!

Recruiting a duplicate Resonator will allow you to choose a Resonator Buff which enhances their chosen skill, as well as add one Star Rating to each Bond associated with that Resonator.

Bonds are special team-wide buffs that grow stronger as you recruit more Resonators sharing the same Bond. The more aligned Resonators you have, the faster you can unlock that Bond’s Synergy Burst, giving your team a powerful edge in combat.
Synergy Burst becomes available once you reach Bond Level 2 and have three Resonators with the same Bond in your active team. At Bond Level 5, the effects of the Synergy Burst are further enhanced.
Activating a Synergy Burst in battle instantly breaks the enemy’s Vibration Strength, resets your main Resonator’s Resonance Skill and Liberation cooldowns, fully restores Resonance Energy, and grants 100 Concerto Energy!

Team Level is an important stat that affects your Resonators' overall performance in battle. Each Team Level counts as one level for both a Resonator and their weapon. Additionally, every 20 Team Levels starting from Team Level 40 will scale up your Resonators' skills by three levels.
| Event Tiles | Levels Gained |
|---|---|
| Boss Challenge | +6 Team Levels |
| Elite Challenge | +3 Team Levels |
| Common Challenge | +3 Team Levels |
| Random Encounters, Respite Events, and Recruitment Events | +1 Team Level |
The fastest way to level up is by completing Common and Elite Challenge Events, each granting 3 Team Levels. This gives you a solid boost to take on Boss Challenges, which increase your Team Level even more.
If no combat challenges are available, Random Encounters and other event tiles can still provide smaller level boosts!

Collect Metaphors by interacting with Unknown Metaphor tiles, where you’ll choose one of three options to keep. These grant buffs that last for the entire Film and enhance the abilities of your Main Resonator.
You can also find Metaphors through certain Random Events and Story Events, so keep an eye out for extra chances to strengthen your team!

Outside of the Somnoire, you can upgrade the Film Theory skill tree by spending --, which are earned by completing Films. These permanently applies buffs across all Films that makes your runs easier to complete.

Existence of this game mode single-handedly makes me think this game is worse than Genshin. A competent game developer wouldn't create this and think "yep, this is fun." The fact that they did makes me question if they know what they're doing.
