Mingming and Doudou Hide And Seek Challenge is an Unmarked Challenge that takes place over multiple real-world days.

Starting the Challenge

To start this chain of events, look for the NPCs Mingming and Doudou near Chenpi the Resonance Casket Vendor. Mingming and Doudou are only available between the in-game hours of 6 AM to 6 PM.

Starting the First Round of Hide and Seek

Speaking to Doudou will eventually lead to a prompt that asks the player if they want to play Hide and Seek with the two children.

The player may refuse, and can return to them at a later date. Choosing to say yes will begin the challenge.

Hide and Seek Challenge Rules

After a brief countdown cutscene, a Timer will begin to run. The player must find both Mingming and Doudou before time is up to successfully complete the challenge.

The challenge has a limited field wherein it is active. If the player moves too far away, the timer will disappear and the player will need to talk to the children again to retry the challenge.

Mingming's Location for Day 1

Mingming can be found hiding behind a stack of boxes, to the left of Chenpi the Sonance Casket Vendor.

Doudou's Location for Day 1

Doudou is found hiding behind the food stall, near where the player initially speaks to both children.

Finding Both of the Kids

The challenge ends after both kids have been found. Speaking to them again will lead to dialogue that invites the player to come back and play more hide and seek with the kids.

Day 2 of Hide and Seek

Return to Mingming and Doudou

Mingming and Doudou will continue to be where the player first encountered them. Note that they are still only available from 6 AM to 6 PM in-game.

When the player next returns to the kids, they will request a best of three for their hide and seek matches. Once again, select the appropriate dialogue option to begin the challenge.

Mingming's Location for Day 2

From the starting point of the challenge, go over the ledge behind Grandma Jue and to the grassy area below. Mingming is standing close to the sitting NPC with a yellow vest.

Doudou's Location for Day 2

Follow the alley to the right of Chenpi the Sonance Casket Vendor, to fimd Doudou hiding in the bamboo shoots.

Speak to the children once more after the second round of hide and seek to complete this day of the challenge.

Day 3 of Hide and Seek

Return Again to Mingming and Doudou

When speaking to Mingming and Doudou on the third day, they will comment about the current standings in the best of three. Select the appropriate dialogue option to start the final round of the challenge.

Mingming's Location for Day 3

From the starting point, head to the opposite end of the courtyard, and hug the wall. Mingming will be behind some stalls here.

Doudou's Location for Day 3

Head to the alley further away from Chenpi the Sonance Casket Vendor. Doudou will be hiding on a ledge in this second alley.

Finish Mingming and Doudou's Challenges

Talking to Mingming and Doudou after the third round of the challenges will lead to them acknowledging the player's prowess in hide and seek.

Mingming and Doudou Hide and Seek Rewards

No Rewards Given

The challenges that Doudou and Mingming provide the player currently have no reward to offer upon completion.
