How to Unlock Where Sky is Clear and Glory Shines: Guardian Tower
Complete Main Quest Chapter 2 Act 5
To unlock Where Sky is Clear and Glory Shines: Guardian Tower, you must first complete the Main Quest, Shadow of Glory.
The exploration quest becomes available when you approach the tower-like structure northwest of Mournfell Canyon.

Talk to the girl in front of the tower
When approaching the tower for the first time, an NPC named Tulia will express her curiosity over hearing the cries of what she thinks is a Scourgewing: a dragon rarely seen in Rinascita, much less Septimont.
Use “Hero's Slash” to break the entrance seal
When prompted, use your Tool hotkey to transform into the Hero's Legacy Echo, and use the “Hero's Slash” ability to break the seal to the entrance.
Line up the slash mark in such a way that it will break the crystals in both threads in one motion. In this case, the slash mark must be vertical. Once the crystals form, click to slash and break them both at the same time.
Inspect the mysterious painting
After entering the tower, inspect the mysterious painting found on the right side of the area you just entered.
Eliminate the enemies
Beginning the proper exploration of the event, clear the enemies found in the next room.
Investigate the mysterious armor parts
Once you've dealt with the Tacet Discords found in the room, approach and investigate the glowing armor part found at the head of the room.
Proceed to the upper level
Afterwards, scale up the platforms found on the left side of the room, and proceed up to the upper levels.
Sever the threads sealing the passage
Once at the higher platform, transform into an Echo and use Hero's Slash once again to server the threads. Afterwards, pull at the barrier blocking the path down.
Observe the scene outside the window
On the way up, you will encounter more enemies. At some point, you will come across a window that reveals a part of the insides of the tower.
Inspect the painting down the stairs
To make your way to that place inside, head further towards the linear path. The path is blocked again, but can be pulled down like others before.
Once inside the blocked room, inspect yet another painting that reveals more about the backstory of this room, and what secrets lie inside.
Cut the threads around the platform
Once you make to the inside of the tower, more threads have to be servered with a well-placed Hero's Slash.
Reach the Scourgewing's platform
When the threads have been severed, jump down to the platform to check on the chained Scourgewing. You then find out that it is experiencing a nightmare, roaring out the name Flavio.
Explore the base of the tower
The Scourgewing manifsts stairs that you can take to go downward to the place of the tower. There are enemies immediately inside. Clear them all.
Investigate the nearby painting
On the way to find the other locations, you discover more of the backstory by investigating two more paintings. You will also have to absorb a “Recollection of Heroes” along the way.
As you progress, you will also keep fighting more Tacet Discords. However at the last room, instead of Gladiators and Drakes, you now have to fight a Kerasaur.
Go to the broken platform and slash through the obstacles
After reaching the broken platform, transform into Hero's Legacy. However, because you have obtained three “Recollection of Heroes”, this now unlocks Hero's Slash II.
Unlock Hero's Rend II
Instead of an instant slash, holding down the button now charges it to sever every thread on-screen. If you do the prompt correct, the camera should be continuously panning back to reveal more of the area.
Give the collected frequencies the Scourgewing
Head back to where the Scourgewing was to return the collected frequences while going through the tower. Along with it, Flavio also makes an appearance to appeal to the Scourgewing, whom he named Isth.
Go upstairs to the upper level of the observation tower
Isth now then provides a way to go up to the upper level of the observation tower to help elminiate the Dark Tide at the top of the tower. Follow the new platforms made by the Scourgewing.
Head toward the pavilion guided by Isth
Once you make it to the pavilion made outside, the camera angle shifts now to a forced 2D perspective. This now plays like a side-scrolling platformer.
Simply continue the path onwards east, and do all the Quick-Time Events that pop up on time.
Use his old sword to sever the prison of hatred and grief
Once you make it to the other side of the pavilion. Make use of the glowing sort and transform into Hero's Legacy once again. It will immediately slash at the tower where Isth is imprisoned in.
Permanent effect on the map
Due to this, the very tower this quest started in will be permanently altered after this quest. Players can now enter through the top of the building where it was slashed.
Examine the item Isth left behind
After Isth finally flies free from the tower, check up on the item that the Scourgewing left behind. Collecting this item completes the quest!
