Concerto Energy is the energy needed to execute Intro and Outro Skills when switching characters in Wuthering Waves (WuWa). See here to know what Concerto Energy is, how to activate Intro and Outro Skills, and which Outro Skills to use in this guide!
List of Contents
Concerto Energy is the energy needed by a Resonator to perform Intro and Outro Skills. Performing a Perfect Dodge, executing a mix of Basic Attacks and Resonance Skills quickly fill up the Concerto Gauge, and a full gauge lets you perform the Intro and Outro Skills.
To activate Intro and Outro Skills, you must first accumulate Concerto Energy. Concerto Energy is accumulated by engaging in combat, and gains a certain amount of charge when you attack or dodge.
Once your Concerto Energy is full, the character portraits on the right side of your screen will have a white glow, meaning your Intro Skill is ready.
Once you switch characters, the active character's Outro Skill will activate, while the replacing character's Intro Skill activates.
Baizhi | Verina |
Healing Outro skills provide a heal over time effect for the incoming character, allowing you to constantly recover HP while in battle.
Baizhi and Verina's Outro Skills also provide an all damage-type amplified, which increases the ATK of the incoming character by a certain percentage for the next few seconds, making them an essential support for any team.
Outro Skills usually trigger certain buffs and effects for the incoming character, which should make defeating enemies much easier.
Each character has their own Outro Skill buff, so make sure to optimize your team, by playing into the strengths of your characters.
Intro Skills can be upgraded through the Forte screen once they reach Resonator Rank 2.
Upgrades cost materials and Shell Credits, so make sure you invest into your characters wisely!

Outro Skill | Performed by the Resonator switching out |
Both are activated by switching characters while Concerto Gauge is full |
Intro Skills and Outro Skills can only be triggered with a full Concerto Energy gauge, and these will be executed at the same time by the two switching characters.
These two allow you to launch a joint attack between your characters, making your combos smoother, and allowing the transition between characters to be seamless.
Since the Outro Skill and Intro Skill activate at the same time, it also means that for a short window, you will have 2 active characters deployed and dealing damage, increasing your damage output while in combat.
Jianxin | Mortefi | Sanhua |
Outro Skills with Amplification provide a percent damage increase to a certain attack, element, or stat. The above three characters provide a Amplification buff for Resonance Liberation, Heavy Attack, and Basic Attack respectively.
Amplifcation Buffs from other characters can buff a specific element, or Skill. These buffs are perfect for Sub-DPS characters, just make sure that their Amplification buff plays into the strengths of your Main DPS for the most optimal team composition!
Yangyang |
Yangyang's Outro Skill provides a Resonance Liberation Charge buff, which essentially recovers Resonance Energy for a few seconds for the incoming character.
Putting Yangyang instead of a Sub-DPS character can be beneficial in some cases, especially if you are running a team composition where your support and main DPS rely on their Resonance Liberation to deal more damage.
