How Do Side Quests Work?

A type of quest where you solve issues for NPCs

Wuthering Waves - A type of quest where you solve issues for NPCs

Side Quests are a quest type where you usually interact with and help NPCs. The quests themselves often include features such as minigames or puzzles, taking pictures, or simply following objectives from one point to another.

Many can be cleared in a short time

Compared to Main Quests, Side Quests are generally rather short in length, and therefore have less rewards. However, a few Side Quests do take a bit longer to clear than others.

Rewards often include Astrites and Items

Just like other quest types, Side Quests provide a variety of rewards. These rewards range from Shell Credit to Astrites.

Some Side Quests Do Not Appear on the Map

There are Side Quests, like All Tales of the Past and Present for example, that only appear on the map after you meet their required specific conditions.

To get side quest "Danger! Explosive!", trigger the explosives near Exile Yongli (South of Violet Banyan).

There is a side quest ("Misfortune on a Workday") near Resonance Beacon (Huanglong-Central Plains). Go to "Gubei Pass" (South of a lake) and find a Ministry of Developent engineer in an Exiles camp.
