The Past is the Future: Introduction Walkthrough

Talk to Shixia

Head to the quest marker located behind the Jinzhou Theater and talk to Shixia under the giant tree. Use your Sensor to try and find the gift her sister left for her, then follow her to the path behind the waterfall.

How to Use the Sensor

Arrive at the First Tree

Follow Pudding the dog to every spot that it runs to, and find a Basic Supply Chest while digging up all the items. Afterwards, follow Shixia up the mountain until you reach a small campsite.

Cook a Dish

Once you settle down by the Camp Stove, Shixia will ask you to cook Jinzhou Skewers or Milky Fish Soup. You can choose to cook either, as the quest will progress even after you cook only one dish.

The easiest dish to make are the Jinzhou Skewers as it only requires two ingredients that can easily be found within the campsite area.

Arrive at the Second Tree

After taking a short rest, proceed up the mountain and continue your search for the gift in the area, digging up all the spots that Pudding stops at, where you will run into some Excarats and unearth a Standard Supply Chest in the process.

Break the Fissured Ledge

The third spot is located behind a Fissured Ledge which you will have to destroy. To do this, use the Levitator function to take the crystal in the Tacetite Fulminate located under the tree, and throw it at the Fissured Ledge to break it.

How to Use the Levitator

Arrive at the Third Tree

Climb up to the third location and talk to Shixia. She will tell you about the heart-shaped pond that she and her sister made, and head to the quest marker to solve the riddle. Afterwards, follow the quest marker to the tip of the heart-shaped pond and unearth another letter.

Arrive at the Fourth Tree

Continue scaling the mountain until you near its peak. The quest will conclude after talking to Shixia.
