What is a Threnodian?

Manifestation of Humanity's Darkness
Threnodians are mysterious beings that are closely tied to the Lament, as well as humanity's collective psyche. They are borne of humanity's deep fears, the unconscious darkness lurking in each and every person.
Represents a Twisted Idea or Concept
Each Threnodian represents a twisted version of a concept that the masses experience. Ovathrax, for example, is linked to the concept of War, due to Jinzhou's history as a battlefield time and time again.
Extremely Powerful and Dangerous
The Threnodians can be thought of as equal in power to Sentinels, and they turn their power towards the singular goal of extinguishing humanity. They can cause and intensify various dangerous phenomena simply by existing, and actively move to undermine civilization.
Being Awakened by the Fractsidus
The Fractsidus are an organization that have dedicated themselves to bringing about another Lament, through the power of the Threnodians. This is to trigger another wave of apocalyptic events, which they view as necessary for humanity's evolution.

Ovathrax
Ovathrax is the first Threnodian encountered, in Chapter 1, and is the Threnodian of War. It had scarred Jinzhou before, claiming the life of many during a prior war, and was looking to revive itself and bring war upon the land again.

Leviathan
Leviathan is the Threnodian of Unity, and was set on taking control of Rinascita. It slowly corrupted the faith of the Ragunnesi, and eventually returned to the region causing the Dark Tide to surge across the land.

Is Abraxas (Abby) a Threnodian?
There is an Implied but Unconfirmed Connection
During the finale of Chapter 2 of the Main Story, Leviathan demands to know why Abby has betrayed them, calling Abby Abraxas. Rover's companion is confused and cannot respond; however, this furthers an already established link between Abby and Threnodians.
