The Serious Novelist NPC offers a mini questline when you talk to him. Follow the steps to complete this NPC's story!
Talk to the Novelists in the Garden Courtyard
In the Garden Courtyard, a pair of novelists can be found talking with each other. You can interact with them to hear about their goal of making a compilation of all the people in the Forever Fest called Endless Dream. They will then request you to convince Salcera to share his experiences with you.
Try and Persuade Salcera in the Garden
You can talk to Salcera in the Garden by the flower beds. Upon interacting with him, he will reject your request and will instead ask you to slow down and enjoy the flowers with him.
Confront the Wealthy Merchant
After you talk with Salcera, the novelists can be found in the Outdoor Lounge near the pool, together with the Wealthy Merchant.
It turns out that the Wealthy Merchant utilized the novelists' script for Endless Dream to create a movie for profit, much to the dismay of the novelists. Out of spite, they will tear the script apart in the cutscene.
Discuss with the Novelists
Once your confrontation with the Wealthy Merchant ends, the Novelists are saddened by the fact that they tore the script they spent time making. The Rover, then, comforts the two and praises them for their noble action and urges the two to see the flowers.
Head back to the garden courtyard and meet up with the novelists for one last time. After this, the NPC storyline ends.
Where to Find Salcera
Located in the Garden
Salcera is found in the garden just close to where the novelists stand. If you talked with the novelists prior to Salcera, he will disappear after your interaction.
Who is the Serious Novelist?
Special NPC with a Mini Story
The Serious Novelist is a special NPC found in the Forever Fest Mansion of the Where Stars Cascade Down event. He unlocks a short NPC questline together with the Ideal Novelist.
Partner of the Idealistic Novelist
The Idealistic Novelist is a co-writer and partner of the Serious Novelist in drafting the Endless Dream story.
Who is Salcera?
Special NPC Found in the Gardens
Salcera is an NPC part of the Serious Novelist NPC questline. You must talk to him to progress the story.
