Choosing between the Male Rover and Female Rover is a choice in Wuthering Waves that will stay with an account for good. Read on to learn if you can change genders after you have made your decision!

Can You Change the Rover's Gender?

No Option As of Launch

Wuthering Waves - Gender Selection

Aside from the initial choosing of the Rover when you first start the game, there is no option to switch the gender of the Rover.

No Option Exists As Of CBT2

As of the second Closed Beta Test, there is no function in the game that allows players to change their Rover to the other gender.

How Should You Choose the Rover's Gender?

Choose which Rover appeals to you more. Remember that this is a choice that will stick with the account for good, and you cannot make this decision again once you have made your choice.

Their Gameplay is the Same

Other than the differences of their attack animations, there is no significant difference in gameplay between the Male and Female Rover. Neither of them have distinct advantages over the other.

I never really care about this topic but... even as a woman, ive always chose the opposite gender opt and I tried female one this time...I BEG YOU PLEASE I REGRET DOING THAT IT BOTHERS ME SINCE MY MALE MC STREAK IS BROKEN I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE

I beg for them to let us change, I predownloaded and already got a tonne of 5 stars and ive done so many quests and exploration etc- I do not want to start the game over again but I wanna switch Rover SO BADLY, I beg for an update that let's us change, idk why they would make it permanent anyway, it cannot be that hard to let us swap when they already programmed everything for the other gander anyway- let me go through some download time and just swap Rover 😭
