Strengths | |||
---|---|---|---|
• Insanely powerful during Qingloong Mode. • Heavy Attacks during Qingloong Mode can crowd-control enemies. • Best against mobs of enemies thanks to his strong AoE DMG. • Combos are not hard to understand. |
|||
Weaknesses | |||
• Needs to be built with Energy Regen sub-stats to consistently enter Qingloong Mode. • Most of his DMG comes from after entering the Qingloong Mode. |
Jiyan is a strong Aero DPS that can deal a lot of damage during Qingloong Mode. Jiyan's Combos are easy to do, and his Heavy Attacks during Qingloong Mode can crowd-control enemies, which is great against AoE scenarios.

This team composition focuses on buffing Jiyan's overall damage in battle using Shorekeeper's and Mortefi's buffs.
Shorekeeper will empower both Jiyan and Mortefi with her Stellarealm's Crit buffs and healing, while Mortefi passes his Outro Skill to Jiyan to buff the latter's Heavy Attack DMG.
Character | Explanation |
---|---|
![]() | Sub-DPS Replacement Aalto's Outro Skill can increase Jiyan's Aero DMG. |
![]() | Sub-DPS Replacement Yangyang can group enemies up with her Resonance Liberation and provide Resonance Energy to Jiyan with her Outro Skill. |
![]() | Support Replacement Verina's healing and Damage Deepen buff from her Outro Skill makes her a viable replacement when you don't have Shorekeeper. |
1 | Start the battle with Shorekeeper, and use her Basic Attacks and Resonance Skill to generate Flare Star and Dim Star Butterflies. |
---|---|
2 | Fill up Concerto Energy and Resonance energy, then use Shorekeeper's Resonance Liberation followed by swapping to Mortefi with maximum Concerto Energy to trigger his Intro Skill. |
3 | Keep attacking the enemy with Mortefi until both his Resonance energy and Concerto Energy are full. Use his Resonance Liberation, then swap to Jiyan, granting him Mortefi's Outro Skill Heavy Attack DMG Bonus. |
4 | Use Jiyan's Resonance Liberation to enter Qingloong Mode and deal a lot of DMG with his Resonance Skill and Heavy Attacks while under Shorekeeper and Mortefi's buffs. |
5 | Charge Concerto Energy once more by continuing to fight as Jiyan. Once it's full, swap to Shorekeeper to detonate her Stellarealm. Repeat the steps until the enemy has fallen. |

This free-to-play team composition relies on Yangyang providing Resonance Energy for Jiyan so that he can use his Resonance Liberation sooner.
Your third slot can be Baizhi or any other healer if you have them.
1 | Yangyang starts the battle and charges the Concerto Energy until the other Resonator's icons glow up. She can use her Resonance Liberation to group up small enemies. |
---|---|
2 | Once Jiyan is fully charged, you can switch to him so he can use his Intro Skill. Switching from Yangyang to Jiyan will restore the latter's Resonance Energy. |
3 | Use Jiyan's Resonance Liberation to enter Qingloong Mode and deal a lot of DMG with his Resonance Skill and Heavy Attacks. |
4 | Switch to Yangyang again once the Concerto Energy has fully charged up. If you need healing, switch to Baizhi and use their healing skill for a quick heal. |
5 | Repeat the steps until the enemy is felled. |
Jiyan Gameplay Guide |
---|
|
Jiyan's Basic Attack Forte and Intro Skill can increase his Resolve Stacks. You can get a total of 60 Resolve stacks and if Jiyan hasn't attacked an enemy within 15 seconds, Resolve will gradually decrease.
If Jiyan has at least 30 stacks of Resolve, it will be consumed to increase the DMG of his Resonance Skill by 20% or enhance his Resonance Liberation so it can deal damage upon activation.
You can check Jiyan's Resolve Stack count on his Forte Gauge. If Jiyan's Forte is half-full, he already has a total of 30 Resolve which can be used on his Resonance Skill or Resonance Liberation.
We recommend building up Resolve and using it on Jiyan's Resonance Liberation since it will deal a lot of damage upon activation.
When Jiyan's Resonance Liberation isn't activated, avoid using his Resonance Skill to consume Resolve and instead use the Skill when he's in Qingloong Mode since the former provides a lot more damage with Resolve.
When Jiyan enters Qingloong Mode after using his Resonance Liberation, his Basic Attacks will be converted into Heavy Attacks. Jiyan's Heavy Attacks deal a lot of AoE damage and can group up small enemies.
Do note that the Heavy Attack stats during Qingloong Mode are from Jiyan's Resonance Liberation and not from his Basic Attack Forte.
During Qingloong Mode, Jiyan's Resonance Skill gains an additional 20% DMG increase and will not consume Resolve stacks.
Combo |
---|
Intro Skill → Mid-Air Attack → Echo → Res. Liberation |
When using Jiyan, ideally you would want to hit enemies with his Intro Skill first to collect the Resolve stacks. After using Jiyan's Intro Skill, use Jiyan's Mid-air Attack then use his Echo to deal damage and get buffs before activating his Enhanced Resonance Liberation.
Combo |
---|
(During Qingloong Mode) Heavy Attack 1 → Res. Skill → Heavy Attacks → Res. Skill when available |
During Qingloong Mode, use the first Heavy Attack and when the teal dragon shows up, quickly use your Resonance Skill to maximize the DPS.
After using your Resonance Skill, just use your Heavy Attacks until you can access your Resonance Skill or the Qingloong Mode ends.

Skill | Priority | Explanation |
---|---|---|
Normal Attack | ★★☆☆☆ | Jiyan's Heavy Attacks from the Basic Attack and Resonance Liberation Fortes are different. We recommend upgrading his Resonance Liberation instead since that's where most of his DMG comes from. The Basic Attack, along with the Intro Skill, should be upgraded last. |
Resonance Skill | ★★★★☆ | Jiyan's Resonance Skill should be leveled alongside his Forte Circuit since they're the secondary sources of damage. Focus on this and the Forte Circuit after upgrading Jiyan's Resonance Liberation. |
Forte Circuit | ★★★★☆ | You would want to also level up Jiyan's Forte Circuit since it adds bonus damage to the Resonance Liberation if Jiyan has enough Resolve stacks. |
Resonance Liberation | ★★★★★ | Most of Jiyan's DMG comes from his Resonance Liberation. Upgrading the Resonance Liberation will increase the Heavy Attack DMG during Qingloong Mode. |
Intro Skill | ★★☆☆☆ | While the Intro Skill isn't bad, it contributes the least amount of damage compared to other Fortes in Jiyan's kit. |
Jiyan's Qingloong Mode scales off primarily from his Resonance Liberation so it is imperative that you upgrade it first. Then, focus on improving his Forte Circuit and Resonance Skills first so they can catch up with the damage output during Qingloong Mode.

Discipline |
---|
When the next character's (or other characters on a nearby team that activates an Outro Skill) Heavy Attack hits a target, Jiyan will summon Qingloong to launch a Coordinated Attack, dealing Aero DMG equal to 313.40% of Jiyan's ATK. This attack lasts for 8s and can be triggered once every 1s, up to 2 times. |
Why We Recommend It | |
---|---|
S1 | ★★☆☆☆ - Okay It allows Jiyan to use his Resonance Skill twice and halves the Resolve Cost consumed when he uses his Resonance Skill. This barely increases Jiyan's DMG output since it doesn't affect his Resonance Liberation. |
S2 | ★★★☆☆ - Good This will remove the need to do Basic Attacks to access Jiyan's Emerald Storm - Finale. The ATK buff is also a great bonus to have. |
S3 | ★★★★★ - Amazing This can help you get CRIT stats through using Jiyan's Resonance Skill and Resonance Liberation. This can help lessen the need to farm for better Echo substats. |
S4 | ★★☆☆☆ - Okay Jiyan's Resonance Liberation will not only increase his own Heavy Attack DMG but also other party members that use Heavy Attacks. Unless your Sub-DPS and Support benefits from Heavy Attack DMG, this Sequence Node is negligible. |
S5 | ★★★★☆ - Good Jiyan's Outro Skill can deal more damage and gain a nice ATK buff if he manages to hit enemies with his Intro Skill. |
S6 | ★★★★★ - Amazing Provides an enormous DMG boost to the Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm Finale if Jiyan uses a Heavy Attack, Intro Skill, or Resonance Skill. |
S1 | Benevolence Resonance Skill Windqueller can be used 1 more time. When casting Resonance Skill Windqueller, the Resolve cost is decreased by 15. |
---|---|
S2 | Versatility After casting the Intro Skill Tactical Strike, Jiyan gains 30 Resolve and his ATK is increased by 28% for 15s. This can be triggered once every 15s. |
S3 | Spectation When casting Resonance Skill, Windqueller, Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm - Prelude, Resonance Skill Emerald Storm - Finale or Intro Skill Tactical Strike, Jiyan's Crit. Rate is increased by 16% and Crit. DMG is increased by 32% for 8s. |
S4 | Prudence When casting Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm - Prelude or Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm - Finale, the Heavy Attack DMG Bonus of all team members is increased by 25% for 30s. |
S5 | Resolution The DMG multiplier of Outro Skill Discipline is increased by 120%. When Jiyan's attacks hit a target, his ATK is increased by 3% for 8s, stacking up to 15 times; this effect is immediately maxed after he casts Intro Skill Tactical Strike. |
S6 | Fortitude Every time Heavy Attack, Intro Skill Tactical Strike or Resonance Skill Windqueller, Jiyan gains 1 stack(s) of Momentum, stacking up to 2 times. Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm - Finale will consume all Momentum, and each stack consumed increases the DMG multiplier of Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm Finale by 120%. |

I can literally tell that you're either baiting or just outright don’t understand Jiyan’s full potential. Jiyan has one of the highest DPS and best CC in the game. Sure, power creep is inevitable, but that doesn’t mean older characters are weak. You, on the other hand, are clearly showing a skill issue. I’m *not* attacking you, but calling him one of the weakest is such an understatement that it proves you don’t truly understand his kit and potential.
