Jiyan is a strong Aero DPS that can deal a lot of damage during Qingloong Mode. Jiyan's Combos are easy to do, and his Heavy Attacks during Qingloong Mode can crowd-control enemies, which is great against AoE scenarios.
We Recommend At Least 130% Energy Regen
Jiyan's biggest weakness is that his damage mainly comes from his Qingloong Mode, and his damage outside of it is pretty sub-par.
Achieving a minimum of 130% Energy Regen tremendously helps his Resonance Liberation uptime, aiding in his team rotations significantly.

Jiyan is a hypercarry Aero DPS who can deal a monstrous amount of DMG with his Heavy Attacks. Aside from the usual DPS stats such as CRIT and ATK%, you should also look for Energy Regen sub-stats so that Jiyan can easily enter Qingloong Mode.

Verdant Summit is easily Jiyan's best-in-slot weapon as it provides CRIT DMG and Heavy Attack DMG Bonus. If you can't afford Verdant Summit, any Broadblade that provides CRIT, ATK, or even Energy Regen stats will do.

For non-BP 4-star Broadblades, Waning Redshift is Jiyan's best choice as a weapon for its ATK that Jiyan benefits from. Its skill helps him enter Qingloong Mode faster, making it a good choice for most players.
There is also a 3-star craftable option for Jiyan called the Guardian Broadblade which increases his Heavy Attack DMG Bonus. Its only downside is the low ATK it provides, but is still an option for non-banner weapons.

 Rover (Aero) | Sub-DPS Replacement Rover (Aero) can be a viable but not better replacement for this team as long as you have another character that can apply negative status effect. Aero Rover converts those to Aero Erosion that can trigger Guts of Welkin for additional Aero DMG for the entire team. You can only slot in Confession-mode Phoebe on the third slot for this one since she's the only one that can apply negative status effects. |
Jiyan's best team is with Iuno as she is the premier Heavy Attack DMG buffer, providing him a huge 50% amplification for this damage type. She also deals high damage for a sub-DPS apart from her healing ability, making her the ideal partner for Jiyan.
As for the third slot, you ideally want to run Shorekeeper due to her general damage buffs to the entire team while also offering amazing sustain. You can, however, run other support healers like Verina if you don't have Shorekeeper.
General Rotation
| 1 | Start the battle with Shorekeeper, and go through her combos before casting Stellarealm. Once her Concerto Gauge is filled, switch to Iuno. |

Jiyan works well with Ciaccona and Aero Rover to make a full Aero team. The team uses Aero Erosion to debuff enemies while providing significant DMG buffs to the entire party.
Ciaccona inflicts ample Aero Erosion stacks to enemies, and gives multiple Aero DMG buffs via her kit. This can be maximized with Jiyan, a straight-forward Aero DPS with excellent grouping and AoE attacks.
As for Rover (Aero), they act as both as a secondary sub-DPS and support to the team, being able to deal damage quickly while providing heals to other Resonators.
General Rotation
| 1 | Initiate with Ciaccona and generate Ensemble Sylphs while applying Erosion stacks on to enemies. When her Concerto is filled, switch to Aero Rover. |

This free-to-play team composition relies on Yangyang providing Resonance Energy for Jiyan so that he can use his Resonance Liberation sooner.
Your third slot can be Baizhi or any other healer if you have them.

Basic Attacks and Intro Skill Increase Resolve
Jiyan's Basic Attack Forte and Intro Skill can increase his Resolve Stacks. You can get a total of 60 Resolve stacks and if Jiyan hasn't attacked an enemy within 15 seconds, Resolve will gradually decrease.
If Jiyan has at least 30 stacks of Resolve, it will be consumed to increase the DMG of his Resonance Skill by 20% or enhance his Resonance Liberation so it can deal damage upon activation.
How to Check Resolve Stacks?
You can check Jiyan's Resolve Stack count on his Forte Gauge. If Jiyan's Forte is half-full, he already has a total of 30 Resolve which can be used on his Resonance Skill or Resonance Liberation.
Use Resolve on Resonance Liberation to Deal DMG
We recommend building up Resolve and using it on Jiyan's Resonance Liberation since it will deal a lot of damage upon activation.
When Jiyan's Resonance Liberation isn't activated, avoid using his Resonance Skill to consume Resolve and instead use the Skill when he's in Qingloong Mode since the former provides a lot more damage with Resolve.
Qingloong Mode Converts Basic Attacks into Heavy Attacks
When Jiyan enters Qingloong Mode after using his Resonance Liberation, his Basic Attacks will be converted into Heavy Attacks. Jiyan's Heavy Attacks deal a lot of AoE damage and can group up small enemies.
Do note that the Heavy Attack stats during Qingloong Mode are from Jiyan's Resonance Liberation and not from his Basic Attack Forte.
Resonance Skill Doesn't Consume Resolve
During Qingloong Mode, Jiyan's Resonance Skill gains an additional 20% DMG increase and will not consume Resolve stacks.
Use Resonance Skill to Counterattack Enemies
Jiyan's Resonance Skill can counterattack enemies. When a gold ring shows up on an enemy, use his Resonance Skill to do a Counterattack.

Open any character power comparison table or YouTube video, and you will see that this character is the weakest. This is the opinion of all the authors. As for my personal opinion, I would place him even lower in those tables, because a DD 5* dealing damage like a support 4* is ridiculous.
