How Strong is Mornye?

Strengths
Amazing holder for Halo of Starry Radiance. She provides multiple sources of Off-Tune Buildup Rate, increasing team members' ATK significantly.
Good Support Damage. Has excellent self-buffs that boost her own damage while being a support.
• Provides multiple sustainability tools to the team, ensuring survivability against enemies.
• Gives interruption resistance to all Resonators in her Syntony Field.
Enabler of different Shifting Mechanics. She works with both Tune Rupture and Tune Strain.
Weaknesses
• Role flexibility isn't possible. She mainly operates as a Healer Support and cannot be a DPS unit.
• Reliant on other characters to inflict Tune Rupture or Tune Strain to maximize the buffs she provides.

Mornye is a 5-star Fusion Broadblade character and the second to be released in 3.0's Lahai-Roi. She is an excellent healer support with her ability to provide a multitude of buffs to the entire team, such as an enhanced Off-Tune Buildup Rate to trigger Tune Break, interruption resistance, and various sustain tools in her kit.

One of her main value propositions as a playable character is her versatility with the two Shifting Mechanics. She can enable both Tune Rupture and Strain, and can work alongside Lynae to boost each others' damage. That said, she cannot be a DPS on her own and will mostly be the Support for the team.

Mornye is primarily built as a Support, only requiring to improve her own healing output and buffing capabilities. For her Main Stats, get a Healing Bonus 4-COST, two Energy Regen 3-COSTs, and two DEF% 1-COSTs. Her substats are roughly the same, with ER as the top priority, followed by DEF%, Flat DEF, and Crit. DMG.

Take note that the Crit. stat increase provided by Critical Protocol is not given to other allies, and is only for the instance of DMG dealt by her Liberation.

If you still haven't farmed the Halo of Starry Radiance set, Rejuvenating Glow is completely viable, as it performs roughly the same, albeit having a 10% less ATK increase for all alies.

Mornye is still built similarly with Energy Regen as the top priority, followed by DEF, and then lastly her Crit. DMG, if at all. For her best Echo in this build, we suggest using Fallacy of No Return since it gives extra ER and another 10% bonus ATK for all alies, making up for what was lost in the set replacement.

Mornye Best Weapon Explained

Mornye's best weapon is Starfield Calibrator as it gives her the stats she needs on top of giving additional Crit DMG to other allies. However, Discord is a more affordable option for most players, giving a lot of ER for a 4-star weapon. We suggest going for S1 first over her signature weapon if you already have one copy of Discord.

Alternatively, you can use weapons that provide extra Energy Regen or DEF to boost her buffing and healing capabilities, like Dauntless Evernight or Broadblade#41.

Outside of the Tune Rupture comp, Iuno is highly viable as a DPS unit for Lynae and Mornye to support. She benefits from the extensive All DMG buffs both Resonators provide on top of Lynae's Resonance Liberation DMG amplification.

Xiangli Yao generally benefits from Lynae's All DMG and Resonance Liberation DMG Amplification and can be an optimal Electro DPS instead of Iuno.
Wuthering Waves - CalcharoCalcharo Aemeath Replacement
Calcharo is a Resonance Liberation-focused DPS, making Lynae an ideal pair for him. You can replace Iuno with him to benefit from this team's hypercarry playstyle that funnels all buffs to him.

Mornye's current best team is with Lynae, supporting the premier Tune Rupture DPS, Aemeath. Aemeath enables Tune Rupture significantly by providing additional Tune Rupture DMG instances with her kit. As all three Resonators are able to respond to the Tune Rupture - Shifting mechanic, this team consistently procs the extra damage, making for one of the strongest teams in the game.

Mornye and Lynae provide extensive All DMG amplification to the team, essentially increasing Aemeath's DMG as much as possible. On top of this, Mornye increases the Off-Tune Buildup Rate for faster Tune Break rotations, whereas Lynae enhances Tune Break DMG. Lastly, Lynae also buffs Resonance Liberation DMG, which Aemeath scales off of.

Tune Break: Tune Rupture Explained

General Rotation

1 Start combat with Mornye by filling her Rest Mass Energy with three Basic Attacks. Then, do a Heavy Attack to enter Wide Field Observation Mode.
2 In this state, perform three Basic Attacks followed by her Resonance Skill. During its animation, you can cancel its endlag with your Liberation, generating High Syntony Field upon casting.
3 Once her High Syntony Field is deployed, quickly cast a Heavy Attack and switch to Lynae afterwards via Outro.
4 With Lynae on-field, immediately cast her Resonance Skill to max her Overflow stacks.
5 Then, use her Liberation to deal damage and generate a team-wide buff before following it up with a Basic Attack.
6 With her Overflow full, cast a Heavy Attack and charge it for 1.6s to reach max Lumiflow. Then, let go to deal damage and enter Kaleidoscopic Parade.
7 In this state, jump three times to perform three Polychrome Leaps, generating True Color stacks.
8 With three stacks, do a mid-air attack to deal big damage before switching out to Aemeath with her Outro.
9 Upon entering via Aemeath's Intro Skill, cast two Basic Attacks followed by her Resonance Liberation to gain two stacks of her Resonance Rate Forte.
10 Then, do three Basic Attacks followed by her enhanced Resonance Skill. Make sure to do this twice to get the remaining two stacks.
11 With four stacks available, hold her Heavy Attack to fill her Forte bar instantly. Lastly, cast her second instance of Resonance Liberation to deal huge damage before exiting the field via her Outro.
12 Repeat until all enemies are defeated.

You can run Mornye with Main DPS Lynae to create a strong team that's quite reliant on the Off-Tune mechanic. Mornye drastically increases the Off-Tune Buildup Rate, letting Lynae trigger Tune Break more frequently.

Aside from this, Mornye increases the DMG taken by enemies with Interfered Marker and can give multiple heals throughout her kit. As for Sanhua, she gives a lot of Basic Attack DMG to Lynae thanks to her Outro's Amplification of this damage type.

General Rotation

1 Initiate with Mornye and fill her Rest Mass Energy with three Basic Attacks. Then, do a Heavy Attack to enter Wide Field Observation Mode.
2 In this state, perform three Basic Attacks followed by her Resonance Skill. During its animation, you can cancel its endlag with your Liberation, generating High Syntony Field upon casting.
3 Once her High Syntony Field is up, cast a Heavy Attack before switching to Sanhua.
4 With Sanhua on-field, perform both her Resonance Skill and Liberation generate her Ice Structures. Then, detonate it with a Heavy Attack. Once her Concerto is full, switch to Lynae.
5 As Lynae, cast her Resonance Skill upon entering the field to fill her Forte quickly.
6 Follow this up with her Liberation to deploy a team-wide buff on top of dealing good Spectro DMG. Then, do a Basic Attack to cast an enhanced attack.
7 With her Forte full, cast and hold her Heavy Attack for 1.6s to convert all of her Overflow stacks into Lumiflow. Upon letting go, she will deal damage and enter the Kaleidoscopic Parade state.
8 In this state, do three Polychrome Leaps by jumping to generate True Color stacks.
9 Once she has three stacks available, do a Mid-air Attack to cast an empowered attack before switching back to Mornye.
10 Repeat until all enemies are defeated.

With the addition of Tune Break in 3.0, Lynae and Mornye can make up a flex team with any hypercarry DPS, as Tune Break works for all Resonators. Mornye provides Off-Tune Buildup Rate, letting Tune Breaks happen more frequently.

Meanwhile, Lynae enhances Tune Break DMG, letting this be an additional source of DMG and way to reduce enemies' Vibration Strengths. On top of this, the pair gives multiple All DMG buffs, making for a pretty flexible comp regardless of attribute.

Mornye Gameplay Loop Summary

Enter the field and build up her Forte gauge while on the ground by doing three Basic Attacks. Once her Forte is full, cast Heavy Attack to make Mornye float.
If Mornye enters via her Intro, this step is automatically skipped.
During this state, cast three more Basic Attacks and her Resonance Skill to fill her secondary Forte gauge.
With her Forte gauge full while in the air, cast her Resonance Liberation to deal good damage and upgrade her Syntony Field into its enhanced version.
Once High Syntony Field is deployed, quickly do a Heavy Attack and switch out via Outro.

Baseline Mode Mornye's default state on the ground.

Rest Mass Energy is one of her two stacking mechanics and is generated with her attacks while on the ground. This can be easily built up by doing three Basic Attacks or automatically filled if she enters the field with her Intro skill.

When playing as Mornye, her other attacks like Heavy Attack, Dodge Counter, and her standard Resonance Skill also generate stacks, but are rarely used in her optimal combos.

Skip the Grounded State With Her Intro Skill

If Mornye enters the field via her Intro skill, her Rest Mass Energy is automatically filled and she immediately enters the Floating state. This is important to note, as you can essentially skip her being on the ground during succeeding rotations.

Once Mornye has her Forte gauge full, she can cast Heavy Attack to go up in the air. This is her Wide Field Observation Mode, which lets her cast a new skill set, including Basic Attacks and an enhanced Resonance Skill. Furthermore, it generates a healing field in the area called Syntony Field, which gives buffs to the entire team.

Make sure to avoid interacting with objects, pressing jump, using utilities, or touching the ground, as these actions will automatically cancel the Wide Field Observation Mode.

Deploy Syntony Field for the Team

When Mornye enters her Wide Field Observation Mode, she casts a Syntony Field in the area, dealing damage to all targets within range and restoring HP periodically to allies every 3 seconds, lasting for 25s.

Furthermore, the team's Off-Tune Buildup Rate is increased by 50% and is resistant to interruption within the deployed field.

During Wide Field Observation Mode, Mornye's Basic Attacks and Resonance Skill are replaced by a different skill set. Use this Forte-enhanced Resonance Skill to deal DMG and provide a larger heal to allies, and use her other Basic Attacks to generate her secondary Forte gauge while in the air called Relative Momentum.

Wide Field Observation Mode Mornye's enhanced state when she reaches 100 Rest Mass Energy.

Relative Momentum is Mornye's second stacking mechanic and is generated when she enters the Wide Field Observation Mode. This can be filled quickly by casting three Basic Attacks and one instance of her Resonance Skill while in the air.

Once max stacks are reached, you can cast an enhanced Heavy Attack - Inversion to inflict Observation Marker on enemies.

Mornye's Resonance Liberation, Critical Protocol, receives additional Crit. Rate of up to 80% and Crit. DMG of up to 160% scaling off her excess Energy Regen. After its initial damage, it also upgrades her Syntony Field into an enhanced version if it is present on-field.

Take note that the Crit. Rate and Crit. DMG buffs only apply to the instance of damage dealt by her Resonance Liberation. It doesn't buff Mornye's stats directly or pass on to her allies.

Upgrade Forte into High Syntony Field

When Mornye casts her Resonance Liberation with her Syntony Field up, she converts it into a High Syntony Field that inherits all of its effects and adds even more benefits to the team.

Always activate Resonance Liberation after she enters Wide Field Observation Mode and deploys Syntony Field before swapping out of the field to maximize its buffs.

Apply Observation Marker with Heavy Attack - Inversion

Once Mornye's Relative Momentum stacks are full, you can cast an empowered Heavy Attack, Inversion, that deals Heavy Attack DMG and inflicts Observation Marker to enemies for 30s.

Observation Marker doesn't provide any buffs, but is necessary for her to apply another debuff called Interfered Marker. This is inflicted if Tune Break DMG is dealt to enemies with Tune Rupture or Tune Strain present.

Increase Enemies' DMG Taken with Interfered Marker

Interfered Marker Enemies take increased DMG by up to 40%.
For every 1% of ER in excess of 100%, enemies take 0.25% more DMG.

Interfered Marker is a debuff onto enemies that causes them to take increased DMG from your characters based on Mornye's excess Energy Regen. If you have 260% Energy Regen, enemies will take 40% more damage from her and other allies.

This lasts for 8s and is present even after Mornye is off-field. That said, enemies must be inflicted with Tune Rupture or Tune Strain to effectively utilize this debuff.

Off-Tune Mechanic: How to Apply Mistuned

Her S1 Inflicts It Without Tune Rupture or Tune Strain

Mornye's S1, Silent Observer, removes the requirement of having to inflict Tune Rupture or Tune Strain on enemies. This makes her fit into a lot more teams, especially when working with non-3.x characters!

Mornye's Outro Skill significantly buffs the entire team, providing a whopping 25% All-Type DMG Amplification for 30s. She is essentially a very strong buffer while off-field, providing DPS characters a huge DMG increase to their kits.

Skill Priority Explanation
Normal Attack ★★☆☆☆☆ Mornye's Normal Attacks don't provide much value to her kit, as they won't deal much damage due to their low multipliers based off ATK on top of Mornye mostly building DEF for her other abilities. Upgrade this later on, if at all.
Resonance Skill ★★★★ This skill is quite important in her rotations, as it provides the team with heals and additional DMG, especially in the Distributed Array state. Upgrade this third, after her Forte and Liberation.
Forte Circuit ★★★★★ The bulk of Mornye's kit revolves around her Forte, giving the team heals and buffs even while off-field. You should prioritize this first.
Resonance Liberation ★★★★★ Her Liberation is her highest damaging ability and provides her with self-buffs that increase her damage output even more. Together with her Forte, upgrade this skill as much as possible.
Intro Skill ★★☆☆☆ Mornye's Intro Skill deals quite a bit of damage, but isn't her priority skill. You can upgrade this after her other skills.

Focus on upgrading Mornye's Forte Circuit and Liberation to maximize her buffing capabilities. Then, upgrade her Resonance Skill for additional healing and damage. Lastly, you can upgrade her Intro Skill and Normal Attacks for additional damage.

Expectation Error:
Heal all nearby Resonators in the team and enter the Parry state, during which DMG taken is reduced by 100% for a time. Switching to another Resonator ends this state immediately.
If attacked while in the Parry state, exit the state and cast Resonance Skill - Optimal Solution.
If not attacked while in the Parry state, press Normal Attack to exit the state and cast Basic Attack Stage 2.

Optimal Solution:
Stagnate nearby targets and deal Fusion DMG, reducing the cooldown of Resonance Skill - Expectation Error by 2s.
Switching to another Resonator ends the Stagnation effect early.

Distributed Array:
While in Wide Field Observation Mode, Resonance Skill is replaced with Resonance Skill - Distributed Array.

Baseline Mode:
While in her default Baseline Mode, Mornye gains Rest Mass Energy.

Heavy Attack - Geopotential Shift:
When Rest Mass Energy reaches 100 points, Heavy Attack is replaced with Heavy Attack - Geopotential Shift.
Cast Heavy Attack - Geopotential Shift to deal Fusion DMG, considered Heavy Attack DMG. Afterward, Mornye jumps into mid-air, consumes all Rest Mass Energy and enters Wide Field Observation Mode.

Wide Field Observation Mode:
Wide Field Observation Mode lasts for 30s.
- Upon entering Wide Field Observation Mode, Mornye generates a Syntony Field.
- While in Wide Field Observation Mode, Mornye gains Relative Momentum.
- If Relative Momentum is below 100 when holding Normal Attack, perform Basic Attack - Wide Field Observation Mode Stage 1 to 3 in sequence. If Relative Momentum reaches 100 during this time, cast Heavy Attack - Inversion instead.
- While moving, Mornye continuously consumes STA. STA cannot be recovered while in Wide Field Observation Mode.
- When Dodging with directional input, Mornye starts to fly at speed, which lasts for up to 10s or until STA is depleted or until the Wide Field Observation Mode ends.
- When Mornye is hit or launched into mid-air, press Dodge to immediately recover from the attack, which is considered a successful Dodge. This effect can be triggered up to 3 times, which resets when Wide Field Observation Mode ends.
- Press Jump and Mornye will slowly descend. Before she lands, Basic Attack - Wide Field Observation Mode, Resonance Skill - Distributed Array, and Heavy Attack - Inversion are unavailable. If Jump is pressed when Mornye runs out of STA, she will exit the Wide Field Observation Mode. She will leave the Wide Field Observation Mode also when she Dodges, Jumps, or performs Mid-air Attacks.
Additionally, performing environmental interactions, using Utilities, or switching to another Resonator ends Wide Field Observation Mode. The state also ends when Mornye is no longer airborne.

Syntony Field:
- Syntony Field lasts for 25s.
- When the Syntony Field is generated, deal Fusion DMG, considered Resonance Liberation DMG.
- Continuously restores HP for all nearby Resonators in the team within the Syntony Field, triggered once every 3s.
- Increases the Off-Tune Buildup Rate of all nearby Resonators in the team within the Syntony Field by 50%.
- Enhances the resistance to interruption of nearby Resonators in the team within the Syntony Field.

Heavy Attack - Inversion:
- When Relative Momentum reaches 100 points, Heavy Attack is replaced with Heavy Attack - Inversion.
- Consume all Relative Momentum to cast Heavy Attack - Inversion, dealing Fusion DMG, considered Heavy Attack DMG.
- Heavy Attack - Inversion inflicts Observation Marker upon the target on hit for 30s.
Can be performed in mid-air.

Observation Marker:
When a Resonator in the team deals Tune Break DMG to a target inflicted with Observation Marker, Mornye inflicts an Interfered Marker on the target for 8s.

Interfered Marker:
Targets affected by Tune Rupture - Interfered or Tune Strain - Interfered take increased DMG from all nearby Resonators in the team. For every 1% of Mornye's Energy Regen exceeding 100%, their DMG is increased by 0.25%, up to 40%.

Visual Field:
When a Resonator in the team defeats a target inflicted with Observation Marker or Interfered Marker, Mornye gains Visual Field for 3s. While in this state, Mornye inflicts Observation Marker on the target hit whenever any Resonator in the team deals damage.

Tune Rupture Response - Particle Jet:
Mornye deals one instance of Fusion DMG to targets in the Tune Rupture - Interfered state within range, considered Tune Rupture DMG.

Rest Mass Energy:
Mornye can hold up to 100 points of Rest Mass Energy.
While in Baseline Mode, she gains Rest Mass Energy when performing Basic Attack, Heavy Attack, Dodge Counter, or when Resonance Skill - Optimal Solution hits a target.

Relative Momentum:
Mornye can hold up to 100 points of Relative Momentum.
While in Wide Field Observation Mode, she gains Relative Momentum when Basic Attack - Wide Field Observation Mode, Dodge Counter - Wide Field Observation Mode, or Resonance Skill - Distributed Array hits the target.
Mornye cannot gain Relative Momentum during Heavy Attack - Inversion.

Each point of Mornye's Tune Break Boost increases the total DMG by 0.12%. While Mornye is in the team, the max stack limit of Tune Strain - Interfered on a target is increased by 1.
Mornye can perform Tune Break against the targets with full Off-Tune Level.

Her S1 improves Mornye's Interfered Marker application by reducing her reliance on units that can apply Tune Rupture or Tune Strain - Shifting. This lets her fit into even more teams and makes her more versatile.
S2 ★★★★★ - Amazing
Greatly increases Tune Break DMG to proc faster and further buffs allies with even more Crit stats based on her Energy Regen. For low spenders, S2 is the best stopping point.
S3 ★★★☆☆ - Good
Her S3 is nice to have, as it improves her rotations quite a bit. She benefits from this by getting more Concerto Energy and Relative Momentum when she casts Resonance Skill once in her rotation.
S4 ★★★☆☆ - Good
Mornye's S4 improves her healing even more, but isn't too necessary given her already consistent heals and sustain passives. That said, it's still nice-to-have in facing harder content.
S5 ★★★☆☆ - Good
This further increases Mornye's damage output by quite a bit, benefitting the entire team's overall DPR. It is recommended, however, to get her S6 once you reach this point.
S6 ★★★★☆ - Great
Mornye's capstone node drastically improves her Liberation's DMG. Furthermore, it almost guarantees she has it available per rotation with the additional Energy Regen it provides. However, the high investment is not that worth it due to her not being a DPS unit. As a support, she performs amazing even without this, so you would rarely want to get her to S6.

mono fusion and enabler of the new healing set! she isn't "useless", but to make her futureproof, you either pull Lynae or her S1. OR both and make Lynae main dps with Sanhua. overall i would say, no support/sustain is useless.
