Rust, Sword and the Sun will become available after finishing Chapter 2, Act 7: Dreamcatcher in the Secret Gardens as part of the main story.

To start the quest, go to Solis Tavern in Capitoline Hill as indicated by the quest marker. Approach the chair to start a lengthy cutscene, introducing you to Nestor and his retelling of Augusta's story before becoming Ephor of Septimont.

Augusta's story begins with a group of gladiators rescuing her from the Dark Tide that destroyed her original home. She was then brought to Septimont where she learns of the Agon, a contest for the strongest of warriors in Septimont. Knowing her strength is not enough to protect what she had before, she decides to participate in the glorious tournament.
After several failed attempts to find a person to train with, she meets Cato— and he starts training Augusta after proving her resolve and strength.

You must reach 100 Reputation during Chapter 1 of the Rust, Sword, and the Sun quest. Be sure to pick the choices that have a high chance of raising Augusta's Reputation. Choose decisive actions which reflect Augusta's strong-willed character and you should be able to max out the stat with no issues!

Augusta’s final step toward securing a noble sponsor rests in earning the coveted blessing of the Lioness of Glory. Now, as the tale nears its climax, Septimont’s valorous warrior stands firm to rise beyond every adversity, ready to etch her name in history and solidify her place as the nation’s greatest champion.

In Chapter 4, your objective is to reach 100 Martialism and 100 Reputation to complete Augusta’s ascension to power. Focus on choices that boost these two stats as she prepares for her trial with the Lioness of Glory and works to gain a sponsor.
During the battle, you’ll face a choice that will significantly reduce your Martialism. Don’t worry, as both options will result in the same drop. The follow-up prompts after Augusta’s victory will more than make up for it, providing a substantial increase to both Martialism and Reputation.

After witnessing Augusta’s rise to Septimontian glory, Nestor poses a final, lingering question to the Rover. With his parting words spoken, he bids farewell, leaving the thought to settle.
Meanwhile, the Ephor, Augusta, and the Priestess Iuno share a weighty exchange on the nation’s fate and the prophecy carved into its future. The quest then ends after watching the final cutscenes unfold.

After the initial cutscene introducing the event, the quests' core gameplay will shift into a decision-making minigame and the overture quest will begin with its first chapter. Nestor will tell you that the actions you choose will determine Augusta's fate.

What Nestor meant effectively with this tip is that you will have to accomplish each chapter with the correct stat goals to progress the story. These four stats, Martialism, Health, Willpower and Reputation will be decreased or increased depending on your chosen decisions.

Should you fail to accomplish any of the stat requirements of the current chapter you are playing, you will be forced to restart that chapter to properly progress the story with correct decisions.

Thanks for the guide! I did not like "Rust, Sword, and the Sun Overture", it's a filler quest to me.
